I love Puzzlebug and artbox!! I actually framed one of the Puzzlebug puzzles of a train and framed it and gave it to my dentist as a gift because he loved trains. He now has it in his office.
Just finished a 500 piece PuzzleBug. It's a basket of colorful balls of yarn. Enjoyed it even though puzzle pieces slipped around a little. But for a $1.25, I was okay with it. I only drink one cup of coffee each morning. Black and very strong. Loved your Dollar Tree puzzle comparsion.
Thank you! I should've picked up a 500 count PuzzleBug. Next time I will and compare it with the Artbox 500. They really are very enjoyable, and great for the price. Ooo I like my coffee strong too!
Welll Hello, nice having lunch with you again... This video is exactly why I love your channel... Yes the coffee one is YOU!! for a $1.25 look at what you got, time well spent doing it and art work for your wall!! I have not done that brand but I have a few of the Puzzle Collector by Rose Art that you have on your shelf.. again for $3.00 from $ Tree and almost the quality of Buffalo.. for a forth of the price.... FYI.. still have not gotten my scrabble puzzle I was suppose to Sept 1st.. contacted the seller twice with no reply.. grrrrrr ... Have a very very good week... see you next Sunday!!!!
I was buying puzzles on Amazon for over $25.00 but now I’ve just been shopping for puzzles at thrift shops. My budget has gotten smaller with inflation.

@kathylynn1375 Wow, I wish I could afford a haul worth $600 🤯 Maybe when I hit the lotto LOL. It's fun trying to find good deals, and I'm happy that others are interested in hearing more about the lesser brands. It's great to see that there are more options out there that are very budget friendly. And you're right, I got a lot for my $1.25 😂 I've glued it already and it looks great! That's too funny, I love Thing from the Addams Family 🤣Now I'm gonna keep thinking about that when I'm filming and editing LOL. What the heck! I hope you get an answer soon from the seller! If not, you may need to contact Ebay.
@marbrn Ooo I'm very hesitant when it comes to spending over $25 for a puzzle. Inflation has been terrible with everything, and I also try to keep a strict budget. But thrift stores are fantastic places to find some real treasure for a great price. I need to check out my closest one again that sold sets for 50cents!
I was out and stopped into one of the dollar stores; to my surprise I found a Charles Fazzino 500 piece puzzle for $5.00. The puzzle is made by TCG Toys with the “Sur Lox” system. I’m not sure if the have those on a regular basis or not. These puzzle sell for about $15.00 for 500pcs and they increase in price from there. I also bought a Dean Russo 300 pcs by CraZart and it was absolutely horrible none of the pieces stayed together and I was so close to giving up but I perserved and completed it. I picked up one corner and multiple pieces fell apart across the whole puzzle.
You picked up some great deals! I was at a couple of my local Dollar General stores and picked up a nice stack of Sure Lox puzzle too. I'm actually working on a "shop with me" video for that haul. I'm sorry to hear about your CraZart experience though. I hate when the pieces don't stay together.
Hi! The images are nice on those puzzles. Not sure if this was previously pointed out. I think for the price and as starter puzzles the puzzles are fine. The reason the 500 piece puzzles are smaller is because the size doesn’t change. All puzzles are 20” * 12”. So the more pieces in the box the smaller the pieces have to be. I’m gonna pick up a 750 piece puzzle to see if they’re even smaller.
Yes, you're right . The pieces get smaller as you move up the puzzle count. I have some 500s and they are smaller and the quality is pretty bad. But like you said, they are absolutely fine for starter puzzles, and of course you can expect too much for the price you pay. In the end, it's all still fun to piece together 🧩
Dollar Tree owes you a commission! You inspired me to google them. I see there is a DT in the subway concourse near me. I will be looking for that coffee puzzle. I don’t even like coffee, but I like that puzzle.
🤣you’re right, I need to get in touch with dollar tree! If your location has a nice selection, your trip may turn into a shopping spree! Hope you find lots of them!
Yeah! I got a couple of 350s from 💲🌲 and enjoyed them. For a buck 25?!? Perfect. I can't go back to 25 dolla puzzles now, just too too much 💸. Mine were artbox and really cool art. Good to know about the 500s being lesser quality. Happy bargain hunting!
350 counts are the way to go at Dollar Tree. I plan to pick up some more the next time I’m there. It does make you think twice about spending much more on a puzzle😅
Love the coffee one. I recently picked up 2 of the 350 artbox ones after Christmas. Pleasantly surprised, decently enjoyable. I was gonna ask you what puzzle you had up in the right corner. Then i realized its Confection Street, one on my list i want to get...lol.
Totally agree! They are a fantastic value. I have to head back to Dollar Tree and see if there's anything new in. As for Confection Street, I love that image! It was a fun and slightly challenging puzzle to put together. I actually did a video on that one 😁
Very interesting. I'd like to suggest picking up a digital caliper for measuring puzzle thickness. They are very cheap and would add some precision to comparing different brands of puzzle thickness/quality. I don't think I've seen anyone do this so far.
Great point! My husband has a digital cailiper that I can start sneaking out of his office 🤣 Thank you for the idea. I can definitely start providing that info.
Personally I enjoy the 500 piece deluxe sets from dollar tree. For $1.25 they have been the best experience for me so far compared to the others they offer. It clicks together nicely, the others don’t click well and are frustrating in many ways. But that’s been my experience….can’t say anyone else would prefer the ones I enjoy. Better image quality and clarity than the others as well.
I'll have to look for the deluxe 500 pieces sets at $1.25. I know the basic ones are very flimsy and too thin as I have several of those. I really need to make another trip to Dollar Tree very soon and see if they've got anything new.
I've actually just finished gluing it, and it looks great! It was the first time I ever glued a puzzle. I figured it'd be the best one to try it with since if I ruined it, I wouldn't be so heartbroken considering it was so cheap.
I recently started my own UA-cam for puzzle hauls and shopping hauls. I'm starting with all the 350 count puzzles I got from the Dollar tree. So far I've had good luck with 3 puzzles. Only one was missing pieces around the edges. I've actually posted videos on the puzzle bug brand my cra Z art. When I bought this one puzzle there was a Dollar tree it was a picture of the Netherlands. I thought it looked familiar but wasn't sure so I went home and checked my puzzles and ravensburger did the exact same puzzle. So basically ravensburger sells their images to cra Z art.
Im really looking forward to picking up more sets! So far I haven’t come across any missing pieces with my Dollar Tree sets thankfully. They do have a great selection of images, and it’s interesting how you can see the same image on multiple brands. I guess it can also be that the image is public domain, so the copyright is expired and any brand can use it. Good luck with your channel!
Wow, surprised and impressed. I agree with you. I would rather have the quality than the quantity. I really like the Coffee puzzle. I'm going to see if I can find it and hang it in my kitchen.. Thanks for doing this comparison..
You're welcome! I think I would probably stick more with the 350 counts, but then again some of those higher count sets have great images. Good thing they're so cheap, but then again, that's bad because I end up buying to many 😂
Believe it or not, I've never had a cup of coffee in my life. Had a taste of my mom's coffee when I was little, and it turned me off forever. Might have been because she drank it black, lol. I'm a can of pepsi person in the mornings. I took your advice and got a smaller wooden puzzle. Only a hundred pieces. Very small pieces. Getting them to fit together was a challenge. And like you said, some of the pieces don't exactly stay together as you work. Not sure I totally enjoyed it, but now have the guts to do the bigger one. Eventually. Maybe, lol.
Ooh, I can't imagine never having a cup of coffee 😟 Black coffee is way too strong of an introduction though, so it's understandable especially if you were little lol. In high school, I went through a phase where I was having a bottle of Coke Cola in the morning before class lol. My smallest wooden puzzle also had very tiny pieces. The smaller sets I feel give a good "introduction" to the whole wooden puzzle experience. From what I hear, no matter what size, they can be very challenging to keep together. Conquer the bigger ones! That's what I'll be doing very soon!
I literally just pulled out a 500 piece Puzzlebug with hot air balloons. I did one other Art Box one and was also pleasantly surprised. I wouldn’t buy them all the time, but they are definitely better than I anticipated!
They are definitely something to pick up if you’re very short on the budget, and want to feel like you’ve went on a puzzle shopping spree😂🧩. For the price, the 350 counts are great.
I picked up a couple of puzzlebug. The pieces were thin and flimsy however the image was solid and not pixelated. However, it’s 1.25. The only way you can find a puzzle that cheap is thrifting and even then you can’t guarantee all the pieces are there or that the quality is decent
It's true, thrifting is great. I can't wait to head back to my closest shop once they open again. But like you said, you risk getting a set with missing pieces. There's positive and negatives to all side. Just got to figure what's more important to you when shopping for puzzles.
Ooo that was one of my much earlier videos 😅 Here's the link for the Eeboo review: ua-cam.com/video/qzvw2MTfZu8/v-deo.html Thank you and hope you enjoy the video 😁
10 minutes to sort 325 pieces? May have to start calling you, Master Mandy 😉 No way would I be able to do that. 😀 The Coffee Jigsaw definitely wins. For the flower one, I'd probably want to crush them at the end and add them for flavour to my vape juice (electronic cigarette juice thing). The coffee one reminds me of the desire to sit back with a cherry-flavoured cigar (or puff on a pipe of the same) with a hot strong cup of coffee :-) I am wondering re the different pieces between 350 and 500 sets, whether it could also be a matter of printing age..... i.e.. have they improved or decreased their quality over time, and one jigsaw is older than the other? I don't give myself enough time between waking up and getting to work to have a coffee yet do make one immediately once I get to work. Then I am fine and can get stuck into things. Currently, I am on Workers' Compensation and go to work for a few hours a day only as waiting for word on when I go in for surgery....i have a small-medium sized hernia. Not painful at all, yet does require a 30-minute operation in a Private Hospital, for speed of getting in, and Workers Comp covers the costs as happened while at work. :-) Working for the govt has its advantages lol We don't have the Dollar Tree shop in Oz yet we do have the $2 Shop instead. I am pretty sure they sell jigsaws and I know in Serbia they have bookshops and toy shops with the same. I am thinking I may need a games room when I end up buying a house lol.
LOL, I'd never consider myself at anything, well maybe if it was at coffee drinking 😂 Not too sure how a crushed up puzzle would be flavor wise, but hey it might be delicious! There may be a difference with puzzles of the same count because of printing age. I want to do a comparison with an older 500 Artbox set to the more recent ones, as I feel like when I checked out the newer one, it seemed slightly different. It wasn't that much older, but I notice the packaging has changed since, so I wonder if the quality may have changes as well. Depending on my work day, I will usually take my coffee with me and drink it whilst driving to the office. I have to make sure I don't wait too long after waking up to drink, as I can start to get a very bad headache. Hope you get your surgery soon, thankfully it's not causing any pain. You "think" you need a game room...considering how much stuff you've collected I think you may need at least two game rooms 🤣
@@thepuzzledmandy Ok, so I shall award you the Master of Coffee Drinking then lol. Yeah, I've heard of ppl getting headaches if they don't get their coffee fix. I luckily don't. 🙂 lol re how much I've collected and yep......I might have to have our main bed one of those which you turn over and on one side it's a table and on the other, a mattress LOL. On a serious note, for 3 minutes, which is my time limit (lol), the house will look awesome once my wife and I have it all set up....for that, I can't wait 🙂 I'm nearly done buying everything here. The rest will be once i move and buy a house and then go shopping for the "big" stuff like Tv's, fridges, couches, beds, yadda yadda yadda 🙂 Thanks for your kind wishes re the surgery. Personally, I'm not in a hurry, as I am enjoying the "rest" from working, and still getting paid. I think I'll be bedridden for 2 weeks after the surgery though, which is really going to suck big time. Does sound like they have changed their packaging and maybe branding if the pieces are different. I do recall you having other brands before and being better (names, forgotten) and i also still remember the plastic piece ones too. 🙂
That’s right, you never know! I thought it confusing as well. They were both pretty much the same, except the Artbox was only slightly thinner/bendy. But overall, they were still better than the 500 counts that I’ve tried.
Hello! Yes, I picked it up yesterday! It's absolutely beautiful, but oh my goodness, those piece shapes are something else🤩This will certainly be a very interesting challenge, and I'm so looking forward to starting it! Thank you so much again!
Certainly not the case with these two sets that I reviewed here. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality with these, considering that my first couple experience with Dollar Tree puzzles were not great and the quality was terrible. I learned that not all of their $1.25 sets are "garbage" 👌
Tbh I love Puzzlebug Deluxe 350s, they're some of my favorite puzzles. Lock together enough to move chunks and pass the pick up test but then also come apart easily enough to disassemble completely within a few minutes. (Unlike my fav which is vintage Springbok, takes a lot of effort to disassemble its kind of a pain 😂) I'm so obsessed with coffee that I also drink lots of decaf. I like it for the flavor the caffeine is just a bonus to get me going in the morning. I drink anywhere from 2-6 cups a day and usually only 1-3 is caffeinated lol. Surprisingly I'm not really a snob about it tho, at home I only drink instant coffee nowadays because it's so easy and the kettle is good for coffee or tea or even instant noodles. Saves space on the counter to not have both a coffee maker and the kettle. I'm picky enough that I only drink coffee I think genuinely tastes good but I don't care if it's cheap or expensive or organic or whatever as long as I enjoy the flavor 😂 Way more info than anyone asked for but I am passionate about coffee ☕ and puzzles 🧩 lol
Puzzlebug Deluxe 350s are a fantastic value and they have a number of great images. They are hidden gems and more people need to know about them. When it comes to coffee, to me there's nothing better than a nice pot of simple drip coffee. I like mine pretty strong with a little milk and sugar, and nothing fancy like lattes or caps or whatever crazy concoctions they make nowadays. It's such a comforting thing, and a must for me every single morning unless people want to deal with a moody Mandy.
I love Puzzlebug and artbox!! I actually framed one of the Puzzlebug puzzles of a train and framed it and gave it to my dentist as a gift because he loved trains. He now has it in his office.
That's a great gift idea! Was it 350 or 500 count?
@@thepuzzledmandy Artbox 350
@@theteatimegarden3122 Nice! I figured it had to be the 350 as I didn't think a 500 could hold up to anything lol.

lol re how much I've collected and yep......I might have to have our main bed one of those which you turn over and on one side it's a table and on the other, a mattress LOL. On a serious note, for 3 minutes, which is my time limit (lol), the house will look awesome once my wife and I have it all set up....for that, I can't wait 🙂 I'm nearly done buying everything here. The rest will be once i move and buy a house and then go shopping for the "big" stuff like Tv's, fridges, couches, beds, yadda yadda yadda 🙂
Thanks for your kind wishes re the surgery.
Never judge a book by its cover… or a puzzle by its price! 😂 It’s a bit confusing though, especially when it’s the same brand.
That’s right, you never know! I thought it confusing as well. They were both pretty much the same, except the Artbox was only slightly thinner/bendy. But overall, they were still better than the 500 counts that I’ve tried.
Hi puzzled Mandy - did you get your puzzle yet? You should have gotten it already!! Let me know and I'll trave it! The Liberty 🎃!
Hello! Yes, I picked it up yesterday! It's absolutely beautiful, but oh my goodness, those piece shapes are something else🤩This will certainly be a very interesting challenge, and I'm so looking forward to starting it! Thank you so much again!
Im a,coffee person
☕🤩☕I love coffee too much!
Trace not trave
Great have fun I enjoyed it when I did it years ago!
quality didnt look like "garbage" to me
Certainly not the case with these two sets that I reviewed here.
(Unlike my fav which is vintage Springbok, takes a lot of effort to disassemble its kind of a pain 😂)
I'm so obsessed with coffee that I also drink lots of decaf.
I'm picky enough that I only drink coffee I think genuinely tastes good but I don't care if it's cheap or expensive or organic or whatever as long as I enjoy the flavor 😂
Way more info than anyone asked for but I am passionate about coffee ☕ and puzzles 🧩 lol
@@thepuzzledmandy love my coffee a little strong too and yes it's an absolute must every day ☕
