  • PLEASE NOTE: In this Part 2 of Kayla, I kind of 'go back' to the beginning and show you how to measure for these prongs and make these prongs using Round, Chain and Bent nose pliers in case you don't have the flats or can't get them right now. I basically go through the whole build again but if you have your prong strip and stone and are ready for bale weave and design, you can jump ahead to timestamp 36:31
I think I probably over-talked in this one but I wanted to give a lot of details... and somewhere I made an editing blooper and said something about 14 gauge wire (I meant 14 inches).
I redesigned the back for a cleaner finish.

If you have not seen Part 1 and want to know how to create the prongs using Flat nose pliers, please watch the beginning of Part 1
    • Part 1 Kayla Accordion...
Let me know what you think and let me know if you need any help or have any questions. I will do another video tutorial using a cabochon for another variation on this pendant. Have fun!
    Materials:
Prong wire is 14 inches of 20 gauge, round, soft copper wire
Second Frame wire is 14 inches of 20g or 18g, round, soft copper wire
Have about 10 feet of 28 gauge weaving wire onhand. Cuts and measures are also shown and told in the video.
My stone is 2 inches in diameter (1 inch tall and about 3/4 inch wide) Faceted Oval Quartz
I added a little 3mm copper bead at the end.
    Tools:
    Flush Cutter
Flat Nose Pliers (heads about 3mm to 4mm wide)
If you're using grid paper and marks, the marks are 1/4 inch marks and you can use Chain Link Pliers to make the prongs.
