5:42, where my dad takes me when staying in San Diego for 2 days, last time I went to this part of the street was when I was helping him move all the stuff to one of houses to the right of this street shown in the video on August 4th, 2024.
as a logan boy for over 20 years i can tell you without a doubt that you were never in trouble there. san diego is NOT LA and we fly different. unless you trying to play games there, nobody has time for you.
I been following you guys since I moved out of Orlando I use to watch because I was home sick and I live here in San Diego but in the north county I can’t believe you guys were actually here !!!
San Diego is amazing, embrace what california gives you. We recently went to CANADA. hopefully one day we can travel all over the world for youtube. one step at a time. its a foundation written thru effort one brick at a time. Loved Diego, want to see California again soon.
We’re not in the 80’s anymore. Calm down. Este wey!!! You don’t look for trouble, then you won’t see any. Come on homie, that’s the way it works. Your from a neighborhood too. Logan heights is the biggest neighborhood in Sd , but not the oldest.
As somebody who lives in Logan heights and has lived in Logan heights for 14 years I can tell you right now it's a great neighborhood but it has its dangerous areas which you avoided the entire video you probably went to the nicest parts of Logan heights you could have went to Grant Hill Park you could have went to 30th Street could have went to Sherman could have went down to Chicano Park but you basically hit the main road got in and got out missing out on some really good artwork as well as food vendors and other authentic San Diego Logan heights natives.
San Diego has low income neighborhoods but doesn't have any really bad areas, the huge homeless camps not withstanding. If you want to see some *really* bad hoods in California go inland to San Bernardino or Fresno or Stockton.
Logan heights is not near close to being as dangerous as it once was once upon a time… people don’t realize that the only reason it’s tolerable it’s because of the PD station on 25th and commercial. Take a wild guess why it was built right on that border line of Sherman and Logan?…. Other gangs would have to team up or ally to go against LH because Logan always had 50-75 dudes hanging on the daily wether at memorial park or Chicano… not exaggerating back then you had to be out and present when roll call was taken…. It was mandatory to be in file…. Since the digital age and the once enforced gang injunction not to mention the killing of the cardinal in 93 was enough to make everyone spread and go into oblivion.. many more have been deported and others are gone but certainly not forgotten… aqui puro LOGAN HEIGHTS XXXTA…
Born and raised in the heights but u missed the main staples of my neighborhood like chicano park, memorial park, mullen's liquor store, 30th Street, clay street park,33rd Street Wich is pretty much our little valley. passing Boston Ave South is pretty much military zone shoulve went to the outskirts like commercial st and imperial Ave
In San Diego your totally fine if you just mind your own business .. people will not bother you .. besides the homeless.. I lived in San Diego area for 7 years and not one thing bad happened to me or anyone I know .. besides angry drivers in downtown area
i used to live in Fresno back in the early 90's. there was a whole lot of Vatos Locos back then, on top of bloods n crips, vice lords, bull dogs, gangs were every where. it was like the thing to be and do. i live in Panama City FL now, i rather deal with these bad tourists rather then walking into the wrong neighborhood in Cali.
I have worked in bad neighborhoods in San Diego, and have always met nice people. I stay home at night .City Heights, National City. I live in Mira Mesa and not a lot of crime, but it’s increasing some.
As long as the locals know who you are it’s not bad at all. I teach music here and never have had a problem - I used to never walk around by myself and now I walk around all the time never had a problem.
a good amount of the eses in SD have good paying jobs like mechanics, decal spray painting, UPS delivery drivers… if you come looking for trouble then youll get it but no ese in SD nowadays going to start shit randomly with you, at most maybe a tweaker , but alot of eses are very work motivated, they aint afraid to get down n fight 1v1 if you front em
I've been to cities in other parts of the country and there are places in the bad parts of town with abandoned houses. There are no abandoned homes in California cities. There are not enough affordable places to live which is why there is a homeless problem. The homeless need to move to the cheaper parts of the country!
If you visit Santa Rosa about an hour from where I live it has a shara of homeless, mostly downtown. Rows of them are camped in tents. Some can be dangerous, I try to avoid. Its in the North Bay, growing fast. Everyone comes for shopping etc. It has the malls. Still a nice place compared to LA. Charles Schultz live d there!
If you can't jog at night without being bothered, then it's definitely not safe. Unless localised homeownership increases, it will remain as is... or be wiped away gradually as gentrification entrenches. As a former single dad, I just wanted something better for my children. Although I do agree that a safer area does not mean friendlier or better people, it's a small price to pay for safety and tranquillity.
