I know it's tough in the first 20 dives, but tell Amanda to hold on and continue practicing. It will give her confidence over time. Tell her also to use her legs more and not her arms. It will help saving her energy and avoid consuming her air too fast. Slow and steady kicks. :)

We left Marsh Harbour last Sunday, headed out through Man O' War channel and saw that mess! When were you guys there?
We sailed direct to Beaufort, NC, mad it in 3 days, 1 hour.
Looks like the ocean waves are taking care of emptying the sand off of the barge all by itself.
Here is a tip from a scuba instructor. Keep your knees stiff and use your fins from the hip. It's less exhausting then what we call a bicycle kick.

Great drone video but such a sad sight to see. There has to be a safe way to remove the sand and at least move the barge off the reef. The right official hasn't been paid yet is all I can figure. I have a 2000 340 Sundancer and love it. I also scuba dive but haven't been in a few years due to some back surgeries. Looking forward to getting back into diving. I always took my dive gear when we flew the boss to the Bahamas in his Gulfstream. $60k for the boat is a great deal! Hopefully someone picks it up soon.

The other video it had a oil sleek floating thing around the Tug but wasnt there now 🤔🤔🤔
Question ??? ... why was the Tug trying to pull the barge during low tide or mid tide when it should been in that location at least during high slack. Tugs had depth plotters to indicate depths in certain areas and that tug looks like it has quite a deep draft. If the barge was stuck on the reef they should have left there until an appropriate time and conditions were right ??? 🤔
Well all that sand is going to end up in the water anyway along with the barge. Should have dumped it and removed the barge while there was a chance.

Those are pretty minor issues for someone to back out from on the survey. They already had cold feet and were looking for a reason. Too bad.
As an Ex truck driver, I know that most permitted Oversized loads can’t roll in bad weather for the most part. It seems this is an oversized load and I would think that 15 foot seas would constitute bad weather. Are there no restrictions? No oversight? No common sense?

From what I've seen, as a land lubber, fascinated by all seamanship. Hatches are always open, but trouble comes suddenly, at that moment nobody has time to close the water tight doors.
Thing is , make the boat a bubble, it would have possibly saved itself.
Owners are in big trouble, family stability lost, lawsuits ... Such a shame.
Then there's the barge.

13:10 Crashed on a Coral reef. I guess when locals do it, it's no big deal. A tourist crashed into a Coral reef, $1,000s in fines.

Strikes me taht that sand is goign to come off the barge one way or another, the only way to get it off and not onto the reef would be with a helicopter, I can't see a crane getting in close enough. Even then it looks like getting the barge off and the tug off would be very difficult. As you say huge fines.

Eventually the sea is going to wash all the sand off of the barge anyway. The diesel oil still leaking from the tug isn't going to help the reef either.

Sand is going to wash off with the wind, rain and waves either .... Why wouldn't they allow the sand to be pushed off to clear the wreck.

Kind of dumb that they wouldn’t let them off load the sand. It looks like the waves have already offloaded a lot of it and it’s a matter of time before they get the rest.
