If you liked the precistrip 16 I highly recommend the nextstrip multi stripper 12 72 190. The have the same functionality but includes a ferrule crimper. If you you a lot of control panel work, it’s a must.

Just recently picked up the stepcut xl cutters after seeing some vids about knipex and the hardness spec of their tools being higher than the competition.
I work daily with 2 awg thwn, and would always have to 2 hand the klein shears at work to get through it.
I can easily get through it, halfway down the handle, with one hand when using the stepcut Xl's
    Its insane

I just received the 12 52 195 stripper. Mainly for use stripping #8 wire for solar panel wiring. Initial trials failed miserably, and was ready to complain. Then I tried adjusting by the screwdriver slot and next stripping attempts were successful!!!

I work in construction, I decided to buy my own tools instead of using the ones we have at the workshop. I use the cutix daily, same as the twin grips, I also use the pliers wrench from time to time. Amazing tools 💪

      My precistrip broke already.
Still like the stripax more you can strip 2/3 wires at once on the knipex you need to go one by one because of the difference in the blade design knipex uses a sharp blade and stripax looks totally different

As an amateur, I wish I had the knipex snap blade knife when I was cutting foam insulation. The spine on the blade would have kept it straight for straighter cuts, which means faster cuts, because with foam you need to go over the same spot over and over, and when you wobble off course, you waste that cut. The blade spine would have also prevented me from accidentally snapping a lot of blades in half while cutting foam.

Knipex blades are really soft and bend fast. Wera and Felo have great tips. Wiha blades are also kinda soft. Then there is the grip, in my opinoion Felo and Wiha have the best ones.

Great tools from knipex, I use them all, the screwdrivers are not made by knipex just rebranded, and if I'm right even the precistrip 16 is made by rennsteig, membre of the knipex group. The cutix utility knife is made in Spain. But after all the quality is very good. I recently bought the stepcut xl and the foldable cable knife with ratcheting action for big cables.

Not really. I have many automatic strippers, and the Knipex with their metal jaws actually damage the insulation _less_ than most others. The Stripax that so many people love, those have plastic jaws but cause a lot more insulation damage.

I cant understand why people dont use klien more. As someone from Ireland I 100% stand behind klien tools as the best tool company on the market, far superior to knipex or wera or any other brand. I agree. Klein has had quality control issues and alot of people jumped ship from them. I was one of those people. Swapped all over to Knipex for pliers. What I found after using only Knipex for 2 years is they don't hold up nearly as good as Klein did. I've gone all back to Klein except a couple things. Every brand has had quality issues. Even the holy Knipex lol.
