ROB is my favorite character in the game by a long shot. Maybe it's just personal bias but he has so much personality and can be so flashy. Nothing is more disgusting than going for the down throw and then taunting instead of following up
I'm so glad when I came to the comments section I didn't see the usual stale memes and reused jokes, but genuine compliments. This video solely earned you a sub. You're the kind of UA-camr this platform needs and reminds me of Summoning Salt. Incredible job, keep it up and I hope the algorithm is nice to you!
The content of the video is great, and your actual script is really tight and concise. Personally, I thought the transitions were a little too long, but I'm sure some people will enjoy the humor. Good video overall, though.
As a upcoming ROB main, I'm so glad to see you make this video showing more methods for my main bot! Your video editing and presentation is super fantastic! You've got yourself a subscriber and I know people will come smashing in to sub as well!
picked up smash a couple months been searching for a main and i’ve had the most fun and success with ROB. this video is still very valid TODAY! appreciate you bro for this timeless piece!
ROB isn't my favourite character in the roster, but being honest, he is one of the most complex and hype characters that have ever existed in all Smash games ( talking about Ultimate ROB ) Really looking forward for your next video!
Oml this guide is so well made. The editing, the sound, the organization, the transition, everything about it is absolutely amazing. You truly outdid yourself making this guide
Bro. The Daft Punk throughout was enough to make me fall in love with the vid. Add on actually being an astonishing guide for a character i've been enjoying since Ultimate's debut? You've got me sold. 10/10.
Wow. Incredible video. Most tutorials end up just being lazy explanations of what moves do, but this highlights the gameplan, main tools, while showing us how to use the other moves just by watching. Amazing!
This is some hidden gem, huh. This video is way too well made for you to have only 1.5k subs. Its as said before well made, and you actually put it into a way that if someone just got smash and new a little bit of how the game works then they could go and try this themselves. Keep up this amazing work, I really like what you do.
I have watched tons of character guides looking for a character to play and trust me when I say, “This is the best character guide on UA-cam.” There isn’t a doubt in my mind. This video is amazing.
Wow this just popped up and it's the best guide for Rob's specials/positioning I've ever seen. Brilliantly explained and presented thank you! I'd love to see an equally polished guide on his normals in the future.
don't forget about your down tilt! crazy frame 3 option that also ducks your hitbox. At higher percent (120 or so? I forget) it combos into itself (unless they tech it but it's awkward timing)
I LOVE this Video! It's so informative and just the Quality is so High on everything!ttBecause of his Video I want to main ROB in Ultimate. All your Videos are Great. Keep it up! (And I love the Cowboy Bebop Intro)
I got a rob combo video in my recommended, searched up 'rob smash ultimate' and saw this. I don't even have smash ultimate. rob just intrigues me as a character and design. But then i see this. Its super informative and doesn't even talk about all of rob's moves. Yet its super well edited, super well presented and downright just a joy to watch. Even if you don't have the game. Keep up the good work!... I think... This is the first video im seeing that you made, after all. But still, keep up the (possible) good work. Also i like the editors choice of daft punk music. Fits well and its just good music in general.
Such an amazing video I've been wanting a concise and informative guide for R.O.B for so long and this showed me so many things I never even thought of doing. Keep it up!
I know I have prob commented this before but literally I’m so surprised you aren’t more popular your commentary is amazing and your editing is one the best I’ve seen
I watch at least 30 min of smash videos daily and this is the best Video i have ever seen. Awesome editing, explanations, artstyle, directing and music. Maybe i'm too much a R.O.B. and daft punk fanboy but I really love your video. Very good work!
I'm late to the video but I just wanted to say the way you've edited this and wrote it is brilliant. I feel like this could convince literally anybody to play ROB and even main them. Thanks for the great video!
Should also note that gyro comes back frame 1 after it disappears and will push your opponent into the direction that ROB was facing when thrown or dropped. As a ROB main, this was an amazing video to watch!
Both super good points that I wish I had brought up in retrospect, but hey maybe I'll do a companion video at some point because there's been several things people have pointed out I missed!
Glyphmoney I definitely think there’s room for a companion video. ROB is a pretty in depth character that has tons of set ups for lead into some crazy combo strings.
This is a fantastic guide. I’ve loved ROB ever since I unlocked him as a kid in brawl, but I’ve never really been able to learn how to play home effectively (hell, I never even used gyro until late into Smash 4). Most guides are like “so move x has 6 startup frames so if you’re up against a Zelda using forward smash 1 meter above you then you’ll hit the sweet spot.” Which is and will always be gibberish to me. The tips you’ve given are much more practical (and are in actual English) stuff like “aim laser at their feet” is way more applicable and understandable than just shoving a bunch of numbers out and expecting people who aren’t in the competitive scene to understand. Really hope you see more traction, I’m sure there are many “not quite causal or competitive” players like myself out there who would get a lot out of these guides.
Really appreciate your comment! I tried to make this stuff as accessible as possible, which means avoiding shenanigans like frame data and trying to give actual real world applications. Level up that robot my friend!!
how the hell do you only have 10k subs?? i know this video is 4 years old but this is a gem of a video! the editing is and holy is this detailed. oh and.. *R . O . B*
5:05 ROB is a solid main/secondary for me, and I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I did not fully understand what charging Gyro actually did. I knew speed, I was unaware of distance. The image here tells me sooo much about how much better I can be with a bit more understanding. Many thanks; I'll certainly be checking out more of your content! 🤖 💗
This video was amazing. Truly a masterpiece. Your voice, the edits, the tutorials/guide, everything is exactly in sync. Gave me a lot of motivation to pick R.O.B up. Love this, New subscriber here. Wish more people will find your channel.
That ending, after such a bold and blatant "just play him how he's meant to be played. Play him to win." With daft punk as the robotic overture of Rob. That alone earned a sub and a like. Godspeed. :) New smash player, and new ROB main after only really getting into it three months ago, every Saturday with some friends. :) It's been a fun journey!!
Jesus, this guide was godlike, your editing and the way you present things are so interesting. Heck, I don't even play rob or have ever thought about maining him, and this guide somehow made me want to play him. Keep up the great stuff man, im sure soon or later the subs will come😁🔥🔥.
I proudly main R.O.B., and this video gives me more utilization of his kit. Heck, I didn't know you gained more vertical distance by tapping the B button before.
This is probably the best R.O.B video I've seen! And so far, the only one I've seen with the best song for him...Robot Rock by Daft Punk! Just a small request though, please make a video about his grab and other attacks. He has so much there
This has done nothing but validate my prejudice against ROBs. But high key this video was very fun and now I have developed a full proof strat to take on your ROB with my Little Mac, and that is just to give up. My stocks were never my own but simply a glimpse into what a competitive game could look like. Lord Sakurai has favorites and ROB is one of them.
As someone who is trying to secondary R.O.B., this video was pretty helpful and really well edited. I also love the Daft Punk music playing in the background, it's so fitting and anything DP related is an instant win for me. A bit unrelated, but do you (or anyone else reading this) mind telling me where I can find the remix of Something About Us at the end of the video? It sounds really good.
This is probably one of the best videos I've ever watched. Not only was the writing style and music choice pure orgasmic but also put a bright spotlight on the most slept on the character in the game. The only other video of the calliper is probably Pushbutton gamings video on ROB. You mentioned some great tips like aim laser at their feet and use gyro charge shield cancel to put the gyro away while on the ground. ROBs range is kinda busted, and even when I'm getting stomped by some elite-level palutena who won't stop N-airing. I find I can always hit them even when in disadvantage. Anyway, I look forward to more of your videos and you can bet your ass you've earned a sub. Also Ps. please tell me the name of the last song? sounds so groovy!

I'm still a pretty new channel, so I'm very happy with how things have gone already. Just fun to get to talk about smash stuff :) thanks a bunch for the kind words and for checking it out!!
The algorithm is gonna notice you soon man. Keep at it, these videos are amazing.
Don't worry, the algorithm did notice him. Unfortunately, I'm currently not impressed but some other people are.
Appreciate you leaving comments anyway, algorithm loves it some engagement! :]
@@Glyphmoney Great video from all narration and editing.
ROB is my favorite character in the game by a long shot. Maybe it's just personal bias but he has so much personality and can be so flashy. Nothing is more disgusting than going for the down throw and then taunting instead of following up
A man of culture I see!
I will adopt these habits of the gods
same, best thing to do tho is this.
Down throw, taunt, AND THEN JUMP INTO UP AIR
I love rob cause he's cute and a robot and is the only irl character to be in smash if I remember correctly
I want a real rob so badly lol
The editing in this is crazy! Not only is it a helpful guide, it's gorgeous too.
Amazing depth. My compliments. I wish there would be more content like this that foregoes clickbait for actual information and depth
Stick around then my friend, don't plan to drop that style any time soon :)
Glyphmoney Awesome, keep it up man!

Could you tell me what song you used for the beginning of the video?
@@seishinken3279 That's Human After All by Daft Punk!
