Eric, I'm glad you liked it. It's been my EDC since I retired from 33 years of Army service last year. It's a tac driver, and functions flawlessly. I run Hornady 220 grain Critical Duty. Enjoy!
I purchased one of these back in 2012. The weight of it is great, solid build quality and the trigger is really nice. I'd highly recommend picking up one of these if you're in the market for a nice, decently priced 4.25 barreled 1911.
I have had this same gun in the all black version...never had a hiccup and always runs. I chaned out my sights to 10-8 fiber optic front with u-notch rear, but the gun itself is amazing and really comfortable for EDC.
I've got that exact gun and love it! It was my 1st 1911. It feels really good in the hand and shoots great. When I first saw one I had to have it. It's pricey but well worth the money. Thanks for all your videos.
I bought one about 4 years ago and love it. I recently put Crimson Trace laser grips on it. Best looking gun and one of the easiest shooting guns I own. Price is not bad at $1200. I am glad I bought it instead of a Kimber.
Just picked mine up Tuesday, i’m in love, by far the prettiest and most practical 1911 carry gun i’ve ever owned. She found her way into my carry rotation real fast lol.
Those Smith and Wesson E series are extremely reliable shooters and very good looking as well! 3k through mine without any issues! I highly recommend them!
Love it, 1911 collector, 1911 is about as modern as I get, collect Old West guns, six shooters and lever action, but love 1911 to every day carry. 👍🏻🤠😎
First time I've seen your video. Superb job. Great seeing how this pistol performs in rapid fire. I got mine about 6 months ago. 1800rds later, zero problems. Using handloads and factory loads. Love's HST's. Thanks for a great video.
I love mine, the only complaint I had was the gritty, and heavy to operate safety. It was gritty because the surface where the plunger met the safety was rough and not anywhere near smooth, and heavy due to the angle of the lobe that the plunger has to overcome. I used some fine grit paper and a Dremel and solved both of those issues. After doing that, the safety is smooth and easier to manipulate (Much more like my Kimber) The factory trigger is great, the extractor has been flawless in feeding and ejecting rounds (300 fired so far) Its a work of art, and that light frame and shorter barrel are really nice. Even shooting +P 230 Gr Federal HST it is really manageable.
I was allowed to shoot one of these at the range last week. A man had just got his and he let me shoot a magazine out of it. It is definitely a beautiful pistol and shoots very well!
Thank you for your information on all the firearms that you get to play with it's helped me to choose the POF P416 with incredible staying power. I'm buying one, thank you bro.
I am just drawn to Smith and Wesson firearms. I don't know why. I have owned many other brands but for some reason I always go back to Smith. Used to carry a Glock now I carry a Smith. I guess that makes me a fanboy. I'm just always been impressed with their machine work even on their economy fire arms like the SD9VE. Quality
I love my 1911's, and my Ruger Lightweight CMDR is carried often. I've never had a problem with any of them, unlike some of the assertions made by Yeager, etc. The triggers can't be beat.
Hey Eric and Chad, why don't you guys think about making a 1911 from an 80% frame and make multiple video series of you guys completing the frame (decking the top, rails, barrel seat, pin holes) and putting all of the parts together to have a very cool DIY 1911? I'm in the middle of my 80% 1911 right now and I'd love to see my favorite you tube gun channel do one from an 80%! I'm sure you guys have a lot on your plate and lots of plans, but think about it!
don't forget springfield 1911's . they have excellent 1911's for the best prices.range officer ,t.r.p. ect custom for production price. lv'e had my springer for 15 yrs.now with adj. night sights , chek front strap match brl. custom mag well and excellent trigger. it's my go to carry. give me springer 1911 and s&w revolvers and i am a happy camper . also after 40 yrs give only willson 1911 mags .cures any feeding problems.
its not violating any of our rights. if they don't want to have their ads on certain videos, they have the right to do so. the advertisement companies have rights just like you or me. they can make choices.
I love my all stainless 1911 e series and would like to have the sc in commander size. Dreaming big lol. Love your videos Eric don't change the fun attitude. B-)
Since you say you don't know what to say about a 1911 you are reviewing, let me suggest a few things: 1. How long is the barrel? 2. Is it a series 70 or 80? 3. What is the trigger pull weight? 4. How much does the gun weigh?
I have the same gun and love it. I also carry the 3 inch defender S&W 1911, I carry it every day.... Only thing i don't like about is cleaning it. Cleaning 1911's isn't fun :-)
Definitely snappier than a full-sized but of the other 1911's I own its quickly become my favorite for its size, light weight, great sights... If you'd be willing to put out another $400 over a vanilla Ruger, Remington, Springfield...they'd be dollars well-spent.
I played this back at 25% and 50% to see the slowmo shockwaves @11:15. Eric sounds heavily drunk at 50% speed while talking at the end of the video. hahahahahaahahah
I really like the grips, they're custom... "They don't seem super special" They have an E on them and my name is Eric. "Damn that is good.... I need to find some J grips "
I own the full size 5" Barrel E-Series. Purchased it 2019. LOVE it. Two criticisms. 1) Those Slide serations SUCK!! Forget getting any good grip if your hand is the least bit moist. Give me the old school sharp serations. These not only look stupid but are very shallow and very smooth. Two features that make slide serrations USELESS 2) The factory sights were way too small. No big deal, I purchased Dawson Precision Fiber Optics front and rear. $75 and made in USA!! They were easy to swap out and Dawson has installation instructions right here on UA-cam. The vids are a good 20 minutes long as well and explain every step in great detail!! The wood grips are beautiful but made the gun too "fat" for my hands. I have Hogue rubbers on all my other 1911's so I simply slapped a pair on the S&W and it's perfect I myself got rid of the recoil spring guide rod. It made field stripping difficult. It also prevents "press checks" I simply purchased a stainless Steel end cap from numerich ( total $17 ) as well as a the small, conventional 1911 spring guide. Other than the external extractor (which is a fantastic feature) and Titanium firing pin, S&W built this gun to traditional 1911 dimensions so the swap required no modifications of either part. The gun lost NO accuracy nor function without the useless guide rod. This is NOT a series 80 instead S&W uses a very light titanium firing pin to avoid problems with assholes that drop a 1911 in condition one from ten feet onto a hard surface. The pistol is a tack driver. I like the heavy but CRISP trigger. It almost feels like a 2 stage trigger. I know a lot of people will not believe me but fresh out of the box, I gave it a quick clean & lube before shooting it. I have NOT experienced one FFTF or FFTE. I LOVE the external extractor as well. I use PMC brass 230 grain copper jacket and also Selloit & Bellier. I also fired some Red Army Standard (Tulla) 230 grain, copper jacketed STEEL case. The gun performed just as well. The Tulla performs well BUT is very filthy. Not a problem as Slip 2000 works great
My goodness your videos never disappoint i am definitley looking forward to seeing more content on more pistols i love the fact that you actually get into detail about everything that you do about the gun the ammo accessories ect. But what i really wanted to ask was if you can give me some advice on how to clean up after i come from the shooting range specifically on how to avoid lead poisoning while at the range?? That would be great i hope to see more videos like these from you thanks eric!!
0:37 I am sorry, but is that caution warning really necessary? Is it required by law? I'd be pissed that my gun has that on there, it is like a slap in the face, honestly. Not to mention, it tarnishes the overall look of the pistol.
Toxicmatrix I agree. The owner should know this. I could understand if the gun was being used by a friend or family member, that extra info might be handy. Like the little shift pattern for a manual transmission. not necessary after using it.
Not really I think but it may be something I think Smith & Wesson put on there to cover their asses should someone Negligently Discharge the gun and either shoot themselves or put a hole in their ceiling or wall.
It's probably like the caution warning on IMI ammo. "Don't give ammo to your kids and pets" "Don't put it in a gun that wasn't made for this ammo" "Don't throw it in fire" "We are not responsible for any damage caused to human or to objects with this ammo" and some other silly things every gunowner should know. They just want to get sure that you can't sue them when you're five year old son shot your dog with the ammo and rifle he found under your bed.

I have that gun, awesome gun. It doesn't like Winchester white Box at least my doesn't. Other than that I have had it for about 3 years or so and couple 3 thousand rounds through it and runs great. I do keep it clean though not like my Glock that I just shoot.
Up there in cost with a Kimber, but much better quality. Kimber has some real issues with QC to this day. To their credit, they can generally get the gun running if it has issues, but at that cost, it shouldnt have those issues. My E-Series eats anything I can throw at it from hot 175gr handloads, personal defense rounds, to the crappiest ball ammo I can find. Outstanding and underrated gun. Think of it more as a factory custom, and less of a production line gun.
People are sleeping on S&W 1911's. I think they are extremely high-quality for the price. The base model SW1911 can be had for $950-1100 in 2024. Buy it! The trigger is better than the DW Specialist.
I bought an older 4" scandium with the square butt..it was a good price $800. Likes it so much, I found a 5" scandium with a rail and trigger job and like 10 magazines $900. Found the 3" pro series for $1000. Now, I might be getting this one MSRP $1600ish for $1200. Good guns all around, although mine will all be scandium frames.
Eric, I'm glad you liked it. It's been my EDC since I retired from 33 years of Army service last year. It's a tac driver, and functions flawlessly. I run Hornady 220 grain Critical Duty. Enjoy!
7:02 that casing that flew back at Eric was timed perfectly with the ding
Gotta love America- Even the birds are wonderful marksmen.
They have lots of practice...lol
that looked like a piece of lead
Lol.
I bought one of these a few years ago and have been very happy with it. One of the prettiest 1911s available I think.
I purchased one of these back in 2012. The weight of it is great, solid build quality and the trigger is really nice. I'd highly recommend picking up one of these if you're in the market for a nice, decently priced 4.25 barreled 1911.
I have the same gun; great shooter
any malfunctions?
What these go for these days
I have had this same gun in the all black version...never had a hiccup and always runs. I chaned out my sights to 10-8 fiber optic front with u-notch rear, but the gun itself is amazing and really comfortable for EDC.
Finally bought one. Been waiting to years to pull the trigger, literally and figuratively.
I've got that exact gun and love it! It was my 1st 1911. It feels really good in the hand and shoots great. When I first saw one I had to have it. It's pricey but well worth the money. Thanks for all your videos.
6 yrs late - I'm noticing this for the first time.
What an attractive 1911 !!
I've had that gun for a few years now and love it.
She found her way into my carry rotation real fast lol.
this is a nice piece, replaced my previous carry a series 70 combat commander. very satisfied, easy to conceal, easy to shoot, reliable.
Those Smith and Wesson E series are extremely reliable shooters and very good looking as well! 3k through mine without any issues! I highly recommend them!
I want one
0:27 was that bird shit? lmao
Oh I've busted a gut lmao
That quail lobbed one in from 300'....up..direct hit on the ammo can..too bad his tracer already burnt out..lololol
Cogito Ergo Sum nice album profile pic, I'll be going to that pilgrimage concert in Tennessee, it's not PJ but Eddie will be there
Put it in slow motion to really enjoy!
shrapnell
maybe ricochet
maybe chad throw it in
Love mine, have had it for 3 years with no issues. Just bought a S&W CSX for CCW. also love it. It has the same 1911 platform with 3" barrel.
My next purchase really like the quality smith and wesson puts into their products!
Love it, 1911 collector, 1911 is about as modern as I get, collect Old West guns, six shooters and lever action, but love 1911 to every day carry. 👍🏻🤠😎

A little birdie told me there was some doodoo in your ammo can
Tina Dandridge From the Angry Grandpa Show Cathal like you girl :)
Your set is starting to look like Hickok45's shooting gallery!
A nice way to dress up a wonderful 1911 pistol.
Thanks Eric.
I love mine, the only complaint I had was the gritty, and heavy to operate safety. It was gritty because the surface where the plunger met the safety was rough and not anywhere near smooth, and heavy due to the angle of the lobe that the plunger has to overcome. 45 my favorite number, 45ACP, 45 Colt, 45-70, can't beat them.🤠👍🏻🔫
Threewolfs 45-70 9mm 9x18 9x38 are awesome too
45 for your favorite president
Man I'm in love. Beautiful pistol.
This particular 1911 interests me, I'm going to check it out.
Bought one of these and liked it so much I got rid of all my other 1911's
I've found that it makes all other 1911's irrelevant as well.
Beautiful pistol. In your hands, it doesn't seem to recoil much. Which I found surprising, considering the scandium frame. Love it!
I was allowed to shoot one of these at the range last week. A man had just got his and he let me shoot a magazine out of it. It is definitely a beautiful pistol and shoots very well!
I have this specific S&W. And its every bit as awsome as Erics. If you see one and have the cash, get it.
S&W 1911's are the bees knees.
I absolutely Love them!!!!
Thank you for your information on all the firearms that you get to play with it's helped me to choose the POF P416 with incredible staying power. I'm buying one, thank you bro.
I saw the opening and thought I clicked on a Hickok45 video!
Quality

This is my dream handgun. Such a great looking great working gun. It's too bad they are so expensive.
You can buy them here in mass from a local gun shop for $853
I have a E Series too, all stainless, standard butt, absolutely love it
Very nice! Always like to see a 1911...especially this nice, being shot & not put up to never b shot.
Grats on 1 million subs Eric and Chad
Hey Eric and Chad, why don't you guys think about making a 1911 from an 80% frame and make multiple video series of you guys completing the frame (decking the top, rails, barrel seat, pin holes) and putting all of the parts together to have a very cool DIY 1911? I just ordered my 1911sc 45cal Smith and Wesson can't wait to get it 😎😎😎
I've shot this before. Incredible gun. One of my favorites
Very cool 1911, definitely a lot of machine work on the frame and slide, looks slick.
very nice 1911 pistol Eric!
1911 pistols 45 acp is my best kind of pistol ever!
don't forget springfield 1911's .
they have excellent 1911's for the best prices.range officer ,t.r.p. ect

Never cared for commander size 1911's but I really like this one after getting one.
How crazy that bullets flying back to the table ..he was lucky
It is. It is. 0:27. Bird turn in a can. Had to replay it but it is. Great job. Only in America.
I have the custom shop version of this pistol and it does shoot really nice.
A collaboration with Smith to come up with an actual Eric series would be nice. Bet I could sell a few!!!
is the channel going to slow down because of all the youtube bs that's going on? would be great to hear a update from you all about this issue.
Richie Jackson ikr all the demonetization bs is pissing me off. Leftys not only violating our 2nd amendment rights but our first amendment rights too.
SRU Airsoft I agree brotha..
If you don't like the way You Tube treats you ....don't post any videos on You Tube ....Problem solved !!!.....Why you look'in for hand outs anyway ?
its not violating any of our rights. if they don't want to have their ads on certain videos, they have the right to do so. the advertisement companies have rights just like you or me. they can make choices.
all I simply asked is for a update on the channel is all 🤔
No, it's an "Ed" series. A friend of mine tried to convince me it's a "EUGENE" series. I have an all steel square butt. Nice review, Eric.
I love my all stainless 1911 e series and would like to have the sc in commander size. Dreaming big lol. Love your videos Eric don't change the fun attitude. B-)
purchased my 1911 E-Series in 2011, try 185 grain flat nose ammo.. trust me... but I also love my .40 Sprinfield EMP !!!
Cleaning 1911's isn't fun :-)
wow i normally dont like the way new guns these days look but this one looks pretty
there was no ad in front of the vid. im concerned eric
Wilson combat 1911 magazines are the best I have come across.
Definitely snappier than a full-sized but of the other 1911's I own its quickly become my favorite for its size, light weight, great sights... If you'd be willing to put out another $400 over a vanilla Ruger, Remington, Springfield...they'd be dollars well-spent.
This is my dream pistol
2:18
Eric: "you can't go wrong with a 1911"
Me: well....
You have been ignored for over two years... you poor soul. Have a thumbs up on me, and the 1911 is the gun that saved this Great God bearing nation.
@@almostontimehero5415 colts have a tendency of doing that ;)
Looks best in black.
Barry would have loved that gun miss him in these videos
It's a beautiful piece. If anyone watches Gotham, Jim Gordon uses one of these as his sidearm in season 3 I recognised it instantly
Sick
one sweet gun there Eric. good video
My dad has that exact gun I love it
looks like the ejection isn't consistent but everything else looks perfect! Great buy dude!
I played this back at 25% and 50% to see the slowmo shockwaves @11:15. Eric sounds heavily drunk at 50% speed while talking at the end of the video. hahahahahaahahah
Looks great.. i still am leaning toward the Springfield Range officer operator 45 though.....
Fun fact, in the Swedish phonetic alphabet E is Erik.
Good video.
Eric, I have one of these pistols. I agree totally with you. It shoots and carries great.
This is my dream 1911
Nice review on this. I have had one of the E series for a few years. Great 1911 even though I carry a Glock 19 :)
I really like the grips, they're custom...
"They don't seem super special"
They have an E on them and my name is Eric.
Two features that make slide serrations USELESS
2) The factory sights were way too small.
I have Hogue rubbers on all my other 1911's so I simply slapped a pair on the S&W and it's perfect
I myself got rid of the recoil spring guide rod.
Not a problem as Slip 2000 works great
Great presentation and video guys.
I enjoyed the review greatly... thanks for sharing it with everyone!
My goodness your videos never disappoint i am definitley looking forward to seeing more content on more pistols i love the fact that you actually get into detail about everything that you do about the gun the ammo accessories ect. That would be great i hope to see more videos like these from you thanks eric!!
Didn't even mention that extractor? That's what makes it unique!
Hey Eric, why dont you design and produce your own custom gun? I bet a TON of people would buy and IV8888 Gun.
Excellent find, Eric!
great 1911, considering the performance model as an EDC..
R.I.P. I will remember your gun videos. I heard that you passed away from a heart attack if i'm wrong.
ur wrong
Impressive 1911‼️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
0:37 I am sorry, but is that caution warning really necessary? Is it required by law? I'd be pissed that my gun has that on there, it is like a slap in the face, honestly. Not to mention, it tarnishes the overall look of the pistol.
That looks like its engraved, which would be hard to ditch.

Thanks for the great video!!!
The same gun from the profomance centre is great to

My friend has this exact gun, and I've had lots of trigger time on it. It's definitely light, but I didn't like the stock trigger.
Yall should make a compilation of all the soda killing yall have done. That would make for a fun video :D
This is my dream gun!!
did not have a commercial when I watched
Beautiful, beautiful firearm
