IDOT: Dam failure in Nashville, Illinois, is 'worse than last time'

- People in parts of Nashville, Illinois, were told to evacuate their homes by emergency personnel due to multiple dam failures in the area. IDOT is telling drivers to avoid the area if possible.

So town was not monitoring dam closely to evacuate residents and now basically no way out.
I heard they have been ignoring maintenance on that second damn
A reservoir is supposed to have a lower catch pad. So if the spillway fails the catch pad below catches the water so it can't lead to flash floods.
Secondly its to small a spillway for the size of lake.
Weather its water or lava. Any liquid being molten rock or water it's naturally going to seek out a course of least resistance.
