Sounds more like Algorithm or the Void by Muse. Kind of fitting since Radiohead is one of their biggest influences.

I’m honestly surprised Radiohead isn’t a stand name yet
probably it ability is illusion or shapeshifter.
I would freak out if Araki made that a stand for part 9

I'm not particularly familiar with radiohead and yet this makes sense. honestly i've kinda been discouraged from checking out more of their music because their top songs on google are a little... plain, yunno? Anyway, what more underrated radiohead songs would you recommend? Exit Music For A Film is a song I like
Today I learned that Muse is just synthwave Radiohead.
Now the feels hits even harder
This song feels like seeing your crush dancing with somebody else on a 80's high school Prom 😂😁😊

Creep is my favorite Muse song
When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so fuckin' special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't care if it hurts
I wanna have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so fuckin' special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here, oh, oh
She's running out the door
She's running out
She run, run, run, run
Run
Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so fuckin' special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here

I genuinely thinks its impossible to make a bad version of this song, amazing.

I wonder why we ever moved past the 80s musically.
It was a peak lol
Music wasnt like this in the 80s at all, Synthwave was based on 80s video games........
@@nitroxylictv so it's based off of music that was used in games during the 80s, so it's 80s music, 90s video game music is 90's music, and 2000s video game music is generally tasteless like the rest of the 2000s music. there were a few experimental synth/nu-disco bands in the 80s as well, though ya i think everyone just heard pop, rock, hiphop, and country on the radio mainly.

I think you meant Darksynth, but still, I guess those artists (like the one who did this) are better doing a chill-kind of synth
Check out Molchat Doma (Молчат Дома), they're a belarusian post punk band with a kind of Darkwave sound. They're absolutely fantastic, and even better live!

Who would of thought that a grunge alternative iconic song of the 90s would be played in the 20's in a cool 80s retrowave remix. Im ecstatic.

@@AllenParkerGarcia ode to my family would be perfect

I can totally picture this playing in a late 80's slasher movie where some dude is obsessed with a girl and he kills anyone that keeps him from getting closer to her.

Sounds like a real music from 80's. I can imagine hearing it on the MTV channel on some very old CRT TV.
not with this quality
"Radiohead's worst song" not anymore
_Debatable_
it never was
I feel like I’m the only person who thinks this is their best song
It’s always been Pop Is Dead
I think people dislike it because it is so dark.
It is one of those songs that haven't aged well, but it fit well in early '90s "grunge era" when every other song you heard on the radio was about self-loathing, misery or suicide. (even though this song itself isn't "grunge", but you know what I mean)
I'm something of a miserable person myself
Not really. Radiohead has a bunch of more recent dark songs (Daydreaming, Everything in It's Right Place, No Surprises are three pretty popular examples). People dislike Creep because it's Radiohead's most mainstream song, and also because it's emblematic of what radiohead was before the switch around OK COMPUTER/ Kid A from more generic rock band to something more electronic and experimental. Combine the two and, at least personally, I find it really annoying that the most well-known song by a band i really like doesn't represent their discography well at all.
I think Radiohead fans joke about it because although it’s the song that brought a lot of us to love Radiohead, it’s not their best. Most Radiohead songs cover dark subject matter, but they’re a lot more polished than creep for sure. I’m not particularly fond of this song (although this remix is fucking awesome) but I appreciate the song because it’s a big reason why Radiohead was recognized and brings in more fans to listen to other songs by them. It was No Surprises for me that kinda reeled me in though, lol.
And to think Findecanor, those suicidal songs were selected specifically for their destructive qualities and pushed on us en mass to purposefully demoralize an entire generation...the 00’s weren’t much better either.
Never forget to consider the culture creators, that pesky 2%
Its one of Radiohead's best, IMO, and I've listened to a lot of Radiohead albums.
I'm a fan of Radiohead, imagine being a pubert in the 90s, listening to Radiohead (and coldplay, nirvana, REM, etc.) that's me. Not only has this enchanted me, I thank you, this song marked an entire generation, although sadness was the mark of radiohead, it is completely different but it maintains the epicity that this amazing song always had.

Lofl Peachfuzz lives!
What makes this song “not aged well” where the theme is a person wanting to look and be perfect where it’s relatable to many people to this day. Is it the sound? Or am I missing something?
It has aged well. It's an amazing song. Radiohead just didn't like how it became their one hit everyone thought of for a while, but there's a reason for that. It's outstanding.
Basically because it doesn't describe what radiohead became to be, and is pretty misleading. If I'll be honest, I can empathize with Thom and the band. If a bunch of normies shouted the song that is pretty misleading to my/my bands discography, I would be annoyed as shit too.
bcsilikejanmayen But it was their debut album and anyone of actual appreciation of them knew plenty other songs were classics. I just think play it earlier in the set to full it’s importance. It’s an inarguably brilliant song as it does fit their sound, they just chose to grow beyond it. Ultimately it’s their choice but I don’t see why it needs to be such a big deal.
@@stephenbeard4747 Ah, true. A detail a lot of people do miss that detail, including me. Not all bands will stick to the sound of their debute album, and as you said, may grow out. I think it didn't age well with them personal, and if iirc, Jonny did say something along the lines of in an interview, "If it doesn't fit how Thom [emotionally] feels, then it feels dishonest to play it". So maybe Thom just got over how he felt back in Uni (Since its based off of a girl Thom would see a lot, and had feelings for, he then got drunk to wash off any anxiety, which when confronted by Thom scared her off) which is why he didn't play it during concerts, and why he took it so personally.
And, this isn't to say Creep is a bad song, hell it's probably what got most of us into Radiohead. It's a bit rough around the edges though, and I certainly wouldn't say it's the best song to introduce someone to radiohead, nor is it their best song. Sorry for the wordy reply, but thank you for opening my eyes a bit!
bcsilikejanmayen Na that makes sense. We all assume a band will play what we want as if they owe it to us. If they don’t feel connected to it anymore then the performance won’t be authentic anyway. I also heard the aggressive guitar stabs immediately preceding each chorus were Jonny taking the piss during a practice and the guys going “that actually works...”. So it’s always has an undertone of dislike by them I think. It’s also a pop hit and in that respect everything they hate haha they have infinitely better songs, I agree, but the mere fact it’s still a brilliant song shows just how outrageously consistent and innovative they are
The vocals are so low it's like a La Croix flavor
Low in the mix or low in key?
Water that was once in the vecinity of an abstract painting of a fruit.

This remix is so good it would make Thom York like this song again.
*Cries in Cyberpunk*
It wasn't so much their worse song or that everyone hated it, it's just that Thom Yorke hated it because at the time it came out it became too mainstream, overrated, and overshadowed all of his other works. It was actually super popular, but too popular, even now.
Basically Creep to Thom Yorke was what Smells Like Teen Spirit was to Kurt Cobain.

People like to trash this song because of what Radiohead became. But at it's core it's a perfect pop/rock song, it really is. And people have the luxury of saying it's bad because of how genius Radiohead is/became. But if this was a one hit wonder, people would still (rightly) lose their minds over this as a classic without a second thought. The end.
