That's one way to interpret it. Perhaps depression (or whatever other mental illness you are currently suffering from) is something that'll never go away...but you keep pushing yourself to not only get better, but to also live with it. Smile, dance, sing through the darkness, and perhaps one day you'll be free from it. Or at the very least, it'll help lessen the invisible burden.
I keep returning to this masterpiece, when something bad is happening in my life and when it does, it kind of makes it feel ok. If the world ends tomorrow, that's it. And that is okay, because in the end I cannot control it. 2020, When Corona hit, I was absolutely depressed, I was overweight, had a lot of trouble with a girl and hated myself. 2021 I tried to turn my life around by hitting the gym and found positive thought patterns for me.
