I might've figured something out. There's something about watching videos about "how to draw ____" versus watching much shorter videos on sketches that makes me think; perhaps the more often i watch the shorter videos, the better my predictability on certain brush strokes will be? By acknowledging this, it may improve my technique at giving a hand at it myself and so will the fellow students.
And this goes without saying, but incorporating this concept into your times practicing or simply sketching on your own leisure will sharpen your skills at it -do keep that in mind.
