this has a strong feel of travelling by a train. you're sitting in an empty compartment; the sun is rising; it's a bit foggy. you can feel the cold seeping through the window. the world is so quiet and so peaceful, does anyone else even exist? the electrical line the train constantly passes do not match the serene view
I FOUND THE SONG!!! I remember hearing this as a child and thinking it was incredible, and I had forgotten where it was from, until I saw that World of Goo 2 was being advertised in the epic store and it's like a portal opened back to a forgotten memory! Awesome track!
I feel like I’m hanging by a thread above certain doom, the wind blowing past me faster and faster as if trying to knock me down. Just as I think it’s gotten calm, it turns into a storm.
Little-known but so piercing tracks like this inspire me. Hearing this, I already had a small dream of creating something equally majestic. But dreams are destined not to come true, so I wonder if I should start with something simpler. In terms of music, it’s not very clear, I haven’t learned much yet, but in terms of writing, I have one idea
Imagine a pigeon flying over a big crowded city while its pouring rain and the sky is dark and grey, But there's nothing stoping the pigeon from getting a great view of the city from above while flying over. Everyone in the city has somewhere to go and has so much on their minds. Except for the pigeon, Who doesn't have a care in the world.
This game's soundtrack is unparalleled in its genius. It's for such a conceptually simple and goofy by its premise puzzle game and despite all that, it's genuinely nothing short of spectacular, which aside from being very surprising, is even more baffling when you look at just how much it fits the seemingly silly game it's for.
@@shadesoftime I mean while hearing this song you'd likely also hear sounds ranging from "Yipee" to a chicken noise as you build towards your destination.
Has been years since I played this game on my Wii. Lot has changed since then, but this game and its songs will keep me going back to that time in my life.
For some odd reason I when I listen to this song. I feel like I'm seeing a young man in is late teens maybe early twenties. Riding on a train in europe during or after WW2 and seeing the ruins left by the war.
this whole game has no right being as intensely melancholy as it was. It's a game about little goo balls with big googly eyes. And making bridges. But I'm not complaining. It rocked 10-year-old me's world.
I replayed it and it’s a lot more anticapitalist and anti-industry than I ever realized. Also healthy dose of the dangers of technology. A lot deeper than I remembered 👁👁
DxCxKILLz It reminds me of a person wearing a long black cloak with a hoodie. She's walking through a wet field while the strong fast winds blow through her hair and cloak and it's raining. She's crying because she has nowhere to go. There's nothing around her but herself. #LikeThisIfYouCryEverytime
This sounds like struggling against the wind; almost blowing away, just barely hanging on by your fingernails as it trashes you about relentlessly. It's like the wind is taunting you to let go - after all, letting go would be so much easier, wouldn't it? But you don't let go, you press onward.
this is really beautiful, thank you for writing this! feels inspiring, i feel like writing short story with that as the premise. the wind being the only antagonist and the setting is maybe unclear. :o
There is a wind, some fogs, the leafs are moving, the sky is turning red, the song begins with normal, and normal, then boom, it’s start with a battle or this ground is turning upside down, I wonder how it will end up like

This music gives me existential panic.. Truly amazing
Idk why everybody is calling this so sad, it's littlebit melancolic but more than that it's hopefull, extremely emotional and beatyfull.
I think "dire" is a better word. The situation is bad and calls for perseverance and determination. I agree, there is hope still in this song.
Agree, like seeds germinating under a heavy rain.
Songs can be sad and hopeful at the same time.
i always perceived these songs to be full of pain. just like with any art, everyone has their own impression.

Actually, this fits perfect in the middle of a strong storm
This plays on my head when it's really strongly windy

I love the little remixes they have in the full version of the soundtrack! If only these were in the real game!

Hi future me. Do you remember me writing this comment? Maybe you don't... wouldn't that be weird?
This almost feels like a sign from the game.
The high tinkling piano notes make it sound like a windy scene. Like something dramatic is happening next to a cliff or something
In the game you're trying to guide something over 2 windmills while the wind blows, so you're right
Reminds me of someone gazing out of the window of a moving train with rain lashing down while moving away.
