Jumping Right Into Winter - Camping and Touring on a Glacier

  • With the first touch of winter here, Andrew and I took off to some glacier skiing. We also brought our tents along and camped up there. Despite the cold of the night it was an awesome time - the skiing was great, scenary was spectacular, the the company was hilarious. Hope you enjoy.

      Don't go. Couple of guys camped out at the base are enforcing a no fun zone

    warm up a bit of water on the stove and then pour it into a second pot or pot lid, then place the fuel bottle in it. You don't need a ton of heat to get the fuel bottles working ok.
    or switch to white gas for the winter.

      Thanks. I have a msr whisperlite that I left at home to save a tiny bit of pack space. Lesson learned

      @@WilltoRide MSR makes a little support...thingy for the winter. It actually works really well and I use it year-round. It's more weight but...drill out your tooth brush I guess.
