I’ve been eyeing both of these lenses specifically for wildlife and nature photography and am now definitely sold on the 150-600. Over the years I’ve acquired a fleet of vintage telephoto lenses so the 150-600 will be my first telephoto with autofocus. Very excited to get my paws on that lens 🎉

I grabbed a 150-600mm F/5-6.3 DG Contemporary, new in the box, for $500. A friend received it as a gift but did not plan to use it, so he sold it to me! I took a few photos at night, and I was pleased. I will test it during the next few days on my R6 during daylight to see what I come up with. Thank you for the video!

I've rented both lenses and I'm still trying to decide which one to buy for my S5II. This was a helpful video!

@@JosephValenti I actually pulled the trigger on the 150-600mm sports lens. I have the 70-300mm macro Lumix so I didn't want the extra weight of the 60-600mm.
Price and weight were definitely factors. Both lenses are extremely capable.

I got the 60-600mm for my S5iix. They work together perfectly fine. The image quality is fine. Not the sharpest lens on the market but certainly sharp enough for a 10x lens. Best for sports (outdoor), wildlife, events (wedding, etc), and portraits.
Night performance is okay, the dual native iso from the S5iix is really a major factor when it comes to low light shooting with the lens. Autofocus at night can be hunting at times so I prefer shooting manually at night most of the times.
Overall, you can’t go wrong with this lens. It is very versatile and functions like two telephoto lenses in one. That alone I think speaks for itself.

@ yes I saw a video stating it does. During push and pull. For 2k$ thats not worth it.

Thank Joseph for pointing out the Sigma 60-600mm is for someone who needs to shoot sports & wildlife. That's exactly what I need. I wish you tested it in low light condition too. I know it is not good as a f2.8 lens but I need to see its sample to make an informed decision before buying it.

@@JosephValenti Thanks for your quick response. When I say low light, I mean for example shooting sports event in an indoor stadium like a basket ball match, or hockey match.

@@mauriciolee7349 with Sony I can speak that you will have a decent time. ISO bumping isn’t that bad these days and those events should be lit well enough that you should be good

I had the 150-600 Sport, Sold it to get the 60-600. Not happy with the 60-600. Sold it and got the 150-600 sport again. Personally I loved the 150-600 over the 60-600
