  • Sydney rock band The Press recorded "Trapped In The Wreckage" between September and December 1978 at Atlantic Recording Studio, Earlwood, for their album "Fodder For The Critics". As the intro shows, the song is in two parts: the breakup of a relationship and the loss of a lover in a car crash.
The Press were a "new wave" band formed at the beginning of 1977 and played in and around Sydney and surrounding country areas until late 1979. They were: Bruce Cumming: guitar, b/vocals, songwriter; Steve Kot: lead vocals; Rick Doolan: drums; Michel Brouet: bass, backing vocals.

The speed in Australia must have been amazing from the mid to late 70s.
