@@bradleyhildwein2858 hey, what drum-set is that? i'm new at drums and i want an upgrade, any recomendations for the sound of this video? specially the cymbals and snare, they rock
@@llav3-d7jmy biggest advice is to always cheap out on drums. So long as you're willing to put in some basic TLC, a cheap kit can always sound and play like a very expensive kit. Cymbals, on the other hand, are where you'll need to spend some cash. My advice there is to get in the room with them and play them first. Don't get fooled into spending up on damaged or repaired cymbals either. The snare is a 1982 Yamaha recording custom brass, but, again, any similar size brazz snare should get you in the ball park. Be mindful that this recording is pretty heavily processed (some very liberal use of very characterful compressors), so it might not be the best representation of the full kit sound
@@bradbrad247 Hey, thanks man for the help!! However, I don't live in a country where I can afford a drumset, even cheap ones will require a ton of time and savings, and even then, with inflation it can get worse. Thanks again tho!
loving seeing more mid air thief covers here! great stuff
It's been so fun playing along to their stuff, so I figured I'd record since I had the kit mic'd

Great work man. Also, envious of that lovely rehearsal space with the leaves trees out the window. Looks rather peaceful...

Love it❤❤❤❤
damn that's some hihat work
Thanks! Hard to work out an arrangement over this due to the percussion being so far back in the mix. Was hoping the hat embellishments would sit well
