  • Morning meeting games and activities require way too much planning and implementation time. Here's the simple 3-step routine I use for morning meeting in my upper elementary (3rd, 4th, 5th) classroom. It would work great for middle school as well!

Thank you for the writing information shared during this meeting. I teach 6-8 Am. History, Texas History and World Cultures. Many of my Students really have weak writing skills so besides the history! I try to incorporate writing skills, grammar and spelling. Very frustrating! Your talk this evening gave me better ideas on how I can help my students in short increments of time. Thank you!
I appreciate getting the bonus information m, etc that you mentioned throughout the meeting tonight.
Thanks again and Have a wonderful
    evening. 😊

I needed this today, as I am already having back-to-school nightmares and stress headaches (almost a month away...). It confirms my desire to have a purposeful, interesting start to the day that takes a little more than just "pull out your books!"

Hi April! Love the video, thank you! I would really like to hear more about your daily goal setting sheets for your students. Do you have any tips for creating them? I'm a first year teacher (all inclusive, 4th grade) and want to start doing this with my students.

Thank you so much for watching! I don’t think it needs to be anything complex. We like using sticky notes and posting them up in the room where they won’t get lost. A quick page with a border that says GOALS and goes in their binder can work well too. When we set class goals, we write them on the board as well. I like to do 3 major class goals and one personal one for each kid.
