Goathland and Mallyan Spout, December 2023

Walk from Goathland (or Aidensfield from Heartbeat), then to Darnholm, Beck Hole and then the Mallyan Spout waterfall before heading back to Goathland via fields and lanes. It was windy.

Seeing no one about in the brisk chill wind, and reflecting on the cast members who are no longer with us, I couldn't help but cry.
Heartbeat is my all-time favourite TV programme, even now at age 61 and being Canadian. The nostalgia factor for me is off the charts. If I could ne transported to that place, the experience might be hardly less potent than for those who make pilgrimmage to Mecca.

It’s definitely nostalgic, I haven’t really watched Heartbeat since the 90s. The area is worth a visit.
