Great video & presentation of Goathland Village, Shops, Goathland Pub (Aidensfied Arms) & The fabulous Steam Trains. We have been here many times we love it & we're visiting Goathland again next year. Thanks Dave & Helen for sharing your amazing adventure. Paul & Kath GB. 👍💞🚂🚃🍺🍵🍰🙏🥰
Hi Paul & Kath, great to hear from you and many thanks for the lovely comment. This was our first trip here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Take care, Helen & Dave
Hi Dave & Helen, Great video 👍. We visited Goathland many times in the 90’s and have been on the steam train too, so it was nice to see it all again. We stayed at a lovely guest house in Scarborough for seven consecutive years as we love that coastline. Curious to see your premium pitch as we’ve got one booked for this summer. Like you we wanted to try one out. By the way, you captured Whitby well 😀 All the best, Rob & Gail.
Hi Rob & Gail, as always thanks for watching. Goathland and Whitby were beautiful and the whole Yorkshire tour has been just great. You can see the Scarborough video on Sunday, we were not so impressed at Dayton Village but it's our own fault as you will see. Thanks as always, Cheers, Dave & Helen.
Hi Dave and Helen, loved Heart Beat, Tony more than me I think, we have visited there and really enjoyed a good walk around. Nice seeing inside the pub and the garage across the road. The Steam trains are amazing. Thank you for sharing x Julie and Tony x
Hi Julie & Tony, this Yorkshire tour has been enhanced by the lovely day trips and Goathland was particularly special. Thanks as always, cheers, Dave & Helen 😊
Hi Peter, we are blessed, you’re quite right. Yorkshire is a wonderful place with its dales & rugged coastline. Thanks for watching. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
Hello Andrew, hope you’re well and thanks for watching. You’re right! The whole point is about exploring different places and getting out and about as much as you can. This has been a great trip for doing just that. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
Strange but being a southerner I think Heartbeat passed me by 😮 No offence to our Yorkshire friends of course. Always love a steam train and even better when they have the bunting out 😃 Enjoyed your video, safe travels 👍🏻 Trev
Cheers Trev, bet you are more of an Eastenders kind of guy? We did enjoy this tour very much. Not been this way for around 30 years but used to visit several times a year. Thanks for watching, see you very soon. Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Dave and Helen, Another great vlog, you are taking us on a journey down memory lane with travels so far. Hope you're enjoying Cayton Village site, we have stayed many times and usually book a serviced pitch and stay on the top site across from the superior pitches, only down side apart from cost is the fact they are the first pitches in the shade on sunny days . Enjoy the lovely coastal walks and then relax in the Farrier pub it's lovely. Paul and Jo 😊
Hi Paul & Jo, The Farrier is absolutely top drawer! Unfortunately our experience at Canton Village wasn't the best. It was very noisy from the building of the adjacent housing estate that was going up. (we should have read the small print from CAMC). We tried a superior pitch and you will see our thoughts on it in the next video. Thanks as always for watching and leaving a comment. ATB from Dave & Helen.
Hi , Glad you enjoyed the Farrier, Yes the building work is not the best, did you smell the McCain factory? Look forward to your thoughts in the next vlog. P and J 👍
Hi dave and Helen brilliant content we just come back from burrs country park at bury lancs loverly caravan park steam trains run its got its own station pub brown cow excellent food loverly walks all dog friendly well worth a look caravan and motorhome club site even a dog wash
Another great video, we loved Goathland too. We stayed at Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe a few years ago and took the North York Moors railway into Whitby, it was a lovely trip. Not been to Scarborough yet so looking forward to the next video
Hi Sandra, thanks very much indeed, lovely feedback. We haven’t been up this way for years but like you we absolutely love it. Scarborough video out tomorrow (Sunday) 4.30pm. Take care, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Dave and Helen, another great vlog thank you. We love Goathland and surrounding district but not been for a while. Looks like Scripps Garage has a new owner since we last went. The old one was so grumpy and hated tourists but loved their money!!. Looking forward to the Scarborough vlog. Enjoy. Cheers Terry
Hi Terry, not sure if he's new but he was a bit of a misery lol. Agree, it's a wonderful area and we enjoyed our look around. Went back to the caravan and watched Heartbeat ha ha. Thanks for watching. ATB, Dave & Helen
Hi Dave and Helen, another two beautiful areas of Yorkshire to visit if you've never been is, Haworth and Keithley and Worth Valley Railway, safe travels
Hi Neil, thanks so much for watching. Love recommendations like this, most helpful. We certainly will not be leaving it too long before returning. Cheers, Dave & Helen 👍
@@HelenandDave Haworth was home to the Bronté family so you have the Parsonage which is a museum now, and the Railway line is where they filmed the original "Railway Children"
Loved this video and all of the ones from North Yorkshire. Goathland is like a second home to us having stayed there 14 times since 2012, its a beautiful part of the country. So much history and popularity with Heartbeat, although the younger folk recognise it has the Harry Potter station. There is actually a caravan site at the back of the 'Aidensfield Arms' for future reference. We want you to try it out for us before we book it in the future..😂 By the way, good job you didnt eat in the Goathland Hotel, we did a few years back and the food was rubbish. The place across the road 'The Inn on the Moor' on the other hand is superb and we eat here often. Keep up the great videos. My wife and I always look forward to a new video from yourselves every week. We watch them all.
Hi there Simon, well thank you very much for your wonderful feedback. Interestingly we were having a bacon roll and a cup of tea in the tea shop and overheard someone saying they were on a local campsite (in tents), that must have been the one. Not sure when, but we will be back. Must agree wholeheartedly with you, this area of the country is beautiful. Thanks for your support. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
never ever watched Heartbeat, my parents did though and never been to Goathland and surrounding areas, but always fancied going. Thornton Le Dale is near there, have you been there ?? Its where Bangers and Cash is filmed. Great video and lovely area, cheers Trev Deb and Tyler
Hi Trev, Deb & Tyler, It's a quaint little place. Its attachment to Heartbeat adds to the appeal but the village and the steam trains are fabulous to visit regardless. No we never made Thornton Le Dale but we've been given a number of recommendations of other places to go, so a trip back will be on the cards. Thanks for watching. ATB, Dave & Helen.
Hi Phil, we didn't enjoy our stay at Canton Village, it was noisy! Think we were spoiled on our previous two sites. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Dave & Helen.
Hi Edwina, we have yet to make it to Devon or Cornwall with the van although we are keen to get down there ourselves, if not this year then deffo next. Thanks very much for watching and supporting the channel, we really appreciate it. ATB, Helen and Dave 👍

Looks a bit wet behind you at the end. We have been lucky apart from a couple of Thunderstorms. My lad and his partner are just back from Scarborough.
