Walk along the causeway to Foulney Island, with views to Roa Island, Piel Island and Walney Island and across Morecambe Bay. This one comes with my mumblings - I’m trying out commentary but I’m not good at talking and I need to sort out the wind noise. Bear with me.

One of the best beaches in Wales, thanks Mathew this brought back great memories...
Thanks 😊. It’s a very beautiful spot
A very windy hike but despite the clouds ,beautiful white water ❤. Thanks for sharing 👍, sending you our support 🔔👋❤️
Thank you 😊
Happy memories of Nant . Thank you.
Lovely footage 👌 Great video
Thanks 😊. I love it around there.
Moved away from Barrow almost 16 years ago.The place looks really empty now
This video was about 10:30pm, I don’t like filming when there’s people about. BAE are expanding so it should get busier.
Superbe nature ❤✌️même paysages même maisons que chez moi en Bretagne ❤❤❤
C'est très joli
Thank you Matthew for another great video . The scenery is very similar to Co Donegal in Ireland where Im from.☘️
Thanks Rosemary 😊
Some superb views of Piel.
Thank you for this lovely video. I have often wondered about Foulney Island. Now I have seen it. Beautiful and lonely.
Thanks for watching 😊
Seeing no one about in the brisk chill wind, and reflecting on the cast members who are no longer with us, I couldn't help but cry. Heartbeat is my all-time favourite TV programme, even now at age 61 and being Canadian. The nostalgia factor for me is off the charts. If I could ne transported to that place, the experience might be hardly less potent than for those who make pilgrimmage to Mecca.
It’s definitely nostalgic, I haven’t really watched Heartbeat since the 90s. The area is worth a visit.
What a beautiful video of the English countryside. Thank you Matthew. Greetings from Ireland☘️
Thank you 🙏
Ain't February depressing ..😕
It sure is ☹️
De belles images ✌️
Merci beaucoup 👍
Thanks for this interesting film. Very atmospheric.
Beautiful, thank you :-) Great memories of holidays there in the 1970s/80s/90s and 2002.
Hi there. Derek with EBU News in Geneva, Switzerland. Hope you are well. I am currently working on a story and would really like to include your video. Is this your video? If so, may we have permission to use your video as per news-exchange.ebu.ch/clearance, please?
Hi, sorry for the delay, I’ve only just seen your comment. Probably a bit late now but yes you can use it. Thanks for asking 😊
Beautiful place! 🙋♀️🇧🇷
Beautiful....☘️
Thank you Matthew.☘️
ReallyReally love your walks Matthew.☘️
Thanks Rosemary 😊
Beautiful English landscape. Greetings from Ireland ☘️
Ah wonderful. I Iove North Wales. Some smashing coastal scenery there, ace geology too with sea caves too no-doubt. Do you film on a smart phone Matthew, and if so, what model - may I ask?
Yes I love North Wales too. I just use an iPhone
How many miles or km would you say this walk was please, and how long taken to walk it? Kind regards.
About 7 miles, I think it took about 7 hours but I was going quite slow. It took a while to work out how to get up Rhinog Fach (the first one) and I still didn’t get it right
@@MatthewRambles Thankyou, that sounds about the right pace for me, 1mph, especially with ascent and views and geology to inspect and marvel over.
That was nice mate. Unusual to see all those fish coming up for air, and some lovely estuarine views down at Meerness rocks. Kind regards.
Thanks. Yes, I’ve never seen fish like that before
Awesome Thanks for sharing Is in Yorkshire ? Marry Christmas and my best from Italy
Thanks. Yes it’s in Yorkshire, at the North York Moors
Very helpful , thank you!
Where too is this farm?
Have you been on the Big One this year?
Oooh yes, quite a few times. Have you?
@@MatthewRamblesYes I've managed 4 visits this year and hoping for a couple more. I was at the Your Experience Guide event again last month.
@@JesusIsLord105 It’ll be good when it starts going dark ready for some nice night rides. I saw the YEG vlog from the event that they did
Very nice. Have you ever been to Aldingham beach?
I think so… is that where Roy’s ice cream is?
@@MatthewRamblesIt's a bit before Roy's ice cream. By the nursing home and church
@@JesusIsLord105 Aaah, I think I’ve only driven past. I might go and have an explore soon
👍Thank-you for sharing.
Fantastic
Recently visited Blackpool so watching this video brings back happy memories for me😂
Absolutely enjoyed every minute of your Walk. Outstandingly well presented video. Now following x
Thank you 😊
How is the temperature in this trip? thx
Probably about 12 degrees (Celsius) on the ground at that time of year
Really enjoyed your video. Thank you for posting. Hells mouth and the two toilets, the beautiful national trust house and grounds x
Thanks 😊. It’s definitely worth a visit 👍
Oh yes fantastic views and excitement
Indeed 😎
Thank you for uploading a wonderful snapshot of a beautiful and relatively unexplored landscape. Good there innit?
Thanks, yes it was nice 😊. I’d never been there before and it was very quiet.
We've stayed in High Swinklebank in Longsleddale for years. Very good value. £330 peak season! recommended highly. . Know every knook of those fells.
@@strawberryfields1149 Sounds like good value. It’s definitely an area to come back to.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Very picturesque.
