Surprisingly Gikomba is one of the safest places. The traders do not allow or take it kindly to any thiefery. It spoils their business and prevents otherwise good customers from visiting. They deal with such incidents very badly.

This was exciting and exhausting to watch at the same time. I have to big up our fellow countrymen who try to eke out a living at great odds. I wish one day those in authority can have a plan for Gikomba and the people who work there. Kyno has got to be the realest and down to earth mzungu who has ventured out there, freely interacting with locals and partaking in the street food that might not always be safe for the untrained stomach. Good stuff!

Again, nice video. But correction, Mutura is not made by left overs and it is not a sausage for the poor. Mutura is a local sausage, that is eaten on all contexts, and cooked in different ways. I disagree with your opinion because mutura is prepared at parties and in certain restaurants. It is crafted from fresh ingredients. Describing it as leftover or associating it with poverty is misleading, akin to the Philippines' pagpag, which mutura distinctly is not. Mutura is a prevalent street food, but it is neither leftover nor confined to the streets, particularly in central Kenya.
