Honestly, I'm glad too see the bronco out there. Most of the ones I see in my neck of the woods are mall crawlers.....big off road tires, every accessory available and 12 gallons of armor all.
@redjafar my Jeep doesn't have a terrain management computer and never has. The only computer I have runs the engine and transmission. Everything else is manual or air operated. Only stuff left that's Jeep is the frame and body.
Very Nice. We have a cabin at 10,350 foot elevation. We spend most weekends on the mountain. It's pretty nice too. Sounds like ya have a good hang out.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery yeah but come winter time I will be quite jealous of your weather:) Spending time up on Cedar mountain is awesome. I’m assuming your cabin is up there. When we lived down there we would drop our trailer off at the top of shingle mill canyon for a few months and stay through the bow hunt. That’s probably the thing we miss most other than family.
I can’t believe after all of that the weak tie rods didn’t snap off. That’s going to be totaled by the insurance company. Every body panel is bent completely out of shape and all of the door gaps are messed up. Air bags went off which usually means it’s totaled.
Love watching your content wish there was more I met my wife in St George and both my children were born St George now we live in Kansas I miss I hope to maybe come out this winter and drive around my XJ
And this is why I take my inexpensive SxS out off-roading instead of my expensive new-ish pickup or SUV. Yes, those could do most things too, but if I roll or break my SxS it won't break my heart (or my bank account). Plus the pin-striping on my SxS from all the friendly Arizona desert vegetation doesn't bother me either.
Good Job!! Nice to drive one out for a change!! "But it's a dry heat"... yeah, right! IT'S STILL HOT! LOL!! The thing about the dry heat is your sweat evaporates so fast you don't realize how much water your body is loosing. It's easy to get dehydrated to the point of something bad happening!!
It took the rollover quite well body wise. The airbags not so good. About $4000,00 to replace the system that deployed. At least it was just the side ones and not the dash and steering wheel ones. I have replaced a lot of them and found a company that resets the factory brain that saves a lot and you don't have to make the trip to the dealer to program a new one to the car. I remember installing an OEM fog light kit on a Ram and they wouldn't work until the dealer hooked up their computer to tell the trucks computer that it had fog lights. I like the old school stuff that you could hook a couple wires up and it would run. Now-a-days you have to run to the dealer like a kid running to mommy with a booboo. Thanks for sharing the heat with us, we had a high of 92 today here in Ohio and here at 3 am it's 70 with a humidity of 88% after a rain shower about 12 hours ago. We all have mother nature to deal with in different ways. The last that she got mad I lost some shingles off one of the garages that I still need to repair. I need to call the county since they think they own the place at $120.00 rent (taxes) per month to come and fix it.
I've lived in the desert back in the 80's. I've been to Utah, Arizona, New Mexico etc. I can't understand why ANYONE would willing drive out into the middle of nowhere in the middle of summer out there. P.S. That poor Bronco.
Casey i was surprised i was expecting a lot worse that seems like minor damage. When the title said destroyed i was thinking it wouldn't have been driveable at all.
Just the multiple air bags deploying in todays vehicles is a major cost to replace I hear and I think there is a lot more damage going on with that Bronco than it looks like at a distance due to the roof damage, almost appeared like a twist in the roof.
That's funny I made that comment before you said don't visit in the summer it was 104 where I live today the tires on my trailer read 170 when I got home
"Back in the old days people were tough." I often wonder how many modern truck drivers there would be still driving trucks if they had to drive the old ones. Even school busses back in the day had manual steering.
@Freedomquest08 back in the day the old ones were top of the line and modern, no different than what we have now, 50 years from now they'll look back on them and think of how rough and outdated they were 😅
Casey, how is the new Bronco in your opinion? Other than having to recover them... Is there something that makes them different in rough terrain, or is it an issue between the seat and the steering wheel?
It rides better on road because of the IFS so as punishment you get bit less flexing, you get center clutch with brake based AWD and proper part time 4x4 bit better space and seat comfort also some better functioning hardware like quicker lockers and any position sway disconnect... I'm sure they'll have to catch tons of problems and weak links, but because of the differences we get another amazing offroader option and competition to improve Wranglers
The new Bronco is amazing off-road. You can conquer level 8+ trails stock no problem. The IFS does amazing over large rocks and obstacles. I find myself pulling out Rubicons and 4Runners more than anything else.
i got mine? plus a 4 stage air bag that lifts the truck up if im not in the mood to use the high jacker, ? place under and pump up. can support 10,000@, or 4546kg

Casey, have you ever thought of using one of those airbag type lift jacks? All you need is an air source! Smaller and lighter than those old floor jacks, plus, they work better on sand. Just a question!
60k pissed away....lol Does insurance even cover off-roading? Is the in-dash "infotainment" screen still okay? My ford Ranger was a really light duty truck that couldn't handle dirt roads let alone off-roading... Wouldn't be surprised if the Bronco bent and twisted under any excess abuse also...

HEY Hello Casey and Becky , thumbs UP!
Florida plates...a state that is flat as a pancake. Welcome to Utah where gravity is a real thing.
Yep
You think all Florida is flat.... That's funny...lol
Floridians are lacking in experience with rocks and cliffs, but are aces on driving on sand.

That's the new "Big Bent" edition... Glad no one was hurt, especially as badly f'd up as that Bronco looks.

Sadly the airbags deployed. Most likely insurance will total it.

In the UK if the airbags have inflated it's often written off for insurance -a full set of bags plus all the new trim required usually costs too much.
It will make a good farm vehicle just stay on the more flat ground.

Just a little beat up. Glad the sun shades deployed for you.
Is there some way to shut off airbags when going offroading?
I wonder if their insurance will even cover off roading damage.
I doubt it, but a nice thought though.
I messed up the front bumper of my Raptor trail riding. It was covered.
You gotta give the Bronco respect for driving out of there very strong. Was that a Raptor? It sounded supercharged going through that tunnel.
