- This one's a fairly quick box-stock build for the week, as I get stuff prepped for some longer-term builds and group builds. Stayed tuned, those are going to be really, really cool. This kit's no slouch, though, Salvinos JR makes great kits, and this one's been in my stash long enough that I thought I'd get it on the workbench and on display. Enjoy!

I’m building the exact one, but I swapped out the Laughlin chassis for the correct banjo out of a Ford kit. It’s what the Pontiac ran and a lot of early teams like Hardee’s Earnhardt, and a bunch of others. Fits like a glove if you’re looking to make it 100%.

So I'm finishing this one up. New body where the hood doesn't sit right. New decals but paint the side black because the decals are hard to work with. The windows are very hard to remove from the tree without breaking them. Its basically a 40 year old kit you are getting over charged for. Fortunately its the only Salvinos model I will ever try.
I have those bumps on each side of the hood also. The amount they charge these days they have to fix that. Way too much flash. Must be using molds from the 70's
I think for this one I'm going to have to skip the decals and just mask it off and paint the black directly on. This seems like too much of a pain for me at least
The Lemans wasn't as bad as the 93 Pontiac Petty Grand Prix. The front/rear bumpers played with my sanity and a lot of Micro Sol and they still didn't sit as well. Definitely take the time to mask and paint where you can!

I've only checked out Cults3D and saw a set of what looks like Ansens, just the wheels, a bit pricey at $65 but I figured as much if they're one-offs. Still checking though.
