This was indeed surprising! Every other influencer I’ve listened to, all seem to just repeat what all the others are saying. Such a pleasure to hear such great new content which made me hit the subscribe button immediately after the second tip. Not disappointed at all after listening to the end!
Hi Nada, I think what I love the most about your videos (besides your huge personality!) is that you tell us to find the thing that WE like. I’ve spent so many years buying the “must haves” on repeat and hating them and never wearing them (the famous “crisp white shirt” comes to mind). I once spent a huge amount of money on “the perfect dark wash jean” which I donated a few years later never worn! Now I buy things that speak to ME and I get so many compliments! I’m so done with trying to wear the things that I’m “supposed to” wear. I don’t imitate anyone else’s style. I make my own!
I've watched many style videos and honestly think this one one of the best. It's so simple but yet transformational and simple. By the way, I worked with you many years ago and as soon as you said that leopard was your signature print, I was certain it was you as this was your print even back then. You haven't aged a bit! So glad I found these amazing videos 🥰
Omygoodness Deidra! Thank you so so much! This meant a lot to me! I SO appreciate it and I'm so glad you found it helpful! And yes I'm still loving leopard all these years later! :) Hope you enjoy some of the other videos too!
Nada, you have such a sweet and pleasant demeanor! I am 68, and the makeup I wear when I leave the house is minimal. Sunscreen, undereye concealer, eyebrow pencil, cream blush, and lipstick. I sometimes wear a bit of mascara and eyeshadow when I have extra time. As we get older, we really need the eye primer, as everthing slides off, due to extra oily lids!
Thank you so much Nada. After years of buying clothes but not wearing them, I'm getting so much from your videos. The idea of buying lots of only colours/styles/patterns that I Iove seems obvious now that you've suggested it. The idea of getting a look that is my signature is exciting.
For the first time, I feel I have a style plan I can really implement. I have a plan centered on me. I keep busting my capsules or clusters, BUT I can do every one of your tips and grow a wardrobe I don't have the right words, thanks for talking directly to me, I feel you see me and I can see me as the stylish woman I want to be !!!Thank you!!!Thank You!!
I really enjoy your videos. They are so helpful and somehow you manage to personalize them so we each take away something of value that really hits home. Thank you.
Thank you Nada! I so enjoyed this video-fabulous, practical tips. I’m definitely going to save and spend more on my shoes/boots. I have a cupboard full of footwear and genuinely only wear 1 or two pairs regularly. I’m definitely a stripes then leopard gal 😂
Great video. I will be watching it again and taking notes. I need definition.. Brows are my go to and a soft lip. Also loved 3 things you hate and 3 things you love. There was just alot to think about. Also loved invest In your neutral. Wow what a way to move forward in 2024!!! You hit it out of the park! A long time ago you told me I was a soft and low contrast. That has helped me immensely. Thank you. Happy New Year❤❤❤
I agree with most of your tips but the one about our best neutral is our hair color -- I have pale but warm skin and light grey hair and light grey clothing washes me out! Love the "shopping videos" and happy new year!
That was a really useful video with simple, but unique advice compared with other style videos, especially the advice about getting a quality item (investment piece) 3 times the price of one's usual - an item that you love and use a lot - makes total sense.
Great video Nada!! For me with makeup its a combo of the two. I get my brows and lashes tinted monthly. I'm also learning as my hair gets more grey in it I need color -so a little blush and lip color really help me. I love red so I have a pair of red converse and a red ballet flat that I love to wear. The last tip for invest wisely - I just purchased a red cashmere zip hoodie. My style is very relaxed as I work from home. When I found this hoodie I knew it would be perfect. Can't wait for it arrive.
I would go for a charcoal, but truly any cool neutral that appears in your hair would be good. Pick the color that you have the most of in your hair. :)
Wow--amazing tips-I will go back through this again! As someone who used to have really dark hair, the switch to grey/white/platinum is making me rethink everything. I definitely do brows and eye liner everyday. You are so right about shoes as an after thought. I am trying to be more thoughtful about shoe choices, but have struggled with fit online. I have probably bought and returned 50 pairs of shoes in the last 6 months (with more arriving today!) Do you have a go to for cute comfortable flats? If I were a shoe, I'd be a ballet flat.
Nada when I think you can’t come up with anything new, I’m wrong. I love this video as with all of them! I wish everyone would listen to you. You give so much great advice in every single video! Thank you!
Becoming elderly and with impaired mobility, I buy all of my shoes online. I never wear true ballet flats: the shoes must have at least 1/2” heel for support and to avoid plantar fasciitis pain.
Such great material! Thank you for the inspiration going into 2024 😊 Love the trademark idea. Mine in the fall/winter/spring is probably a scarf and my charcoal bob-length hair.
Hi Nada, awesome chat👏I agree, fabulous shoes a great bag & a few really nice pieces of jewellery really elevates a basic outfit. I must say limited patterns (unless a dress) works for my petite 5ft 2in frame.
I discovered your channel and Facebook group a couple of weeks ago. Wow- I love your content and how you really analyze style. It’s not about shopping here. This video is the best style video I have seen, and I’ve seen a lot. I’m going to watch again with a notebook and pen. I love that you are in FL- I’m a Scottsdale AZ gal - a blazer is my outerwear too. I’m excited to be here and to learn more about your style program. Thank you- have a great day! LeeAnn H ☀️🌵😎
Footwear is challenging, there's what I like vs what looks good and what I can walk in. In summer, I can find a lot of cute sandals but it's much harder the rest of the year Lots of food for thought here. Buying fewer but better is a good mantra.
As a redhead, I always need to wear brows and lips. These two makeup products are necessary, they frame my face. My best neutral is cognac or rust. My patterns would be leopard, stripes, plaids, and my favorite throwbacks paisley and calico. My trademark is my wavy red hair, it’s a dominant feature that I have learned to embrace. Even though I hated it when I was younger. It’s fun to think about these things annually because these are very classic styling tools that we often forget.
What about all the colored bags I have? Red, green, navy, and what about white? Seems boring to me to wear neutrals as a blonde.. beiges…. When do you break the rule?
@@susanbrownstein3971 I have lots of colored bags and love them. I’m just suggesting having a neutral bag in the color of your hair as one of your options. Some outfits will want a neutral bag and some you will want a colorful bag.
@@NadaManley ahhhh I didn’t understand. I have plenty of neutrals. I like that pop of color . But it’s smart to have that neutral on vacation or when nothing looks good with the outfit. I switched to another neutral today, a leather mid sized coach, kinda slouchy. I’ve had it for at least ten years, looks like new, beautiful bag, modern. I think a classic style is a classic style. The bag will probably outlive me. I just couldn’t understand why I needed to look head to toe in neutrals. You asked us to choose two things that were specific to ourselves. One is my jewelry, especially my diamond necklace with my name in script. The other is that I like to wear something that is unexpected. The sneakers with a dress is unexpected for my age or a men’s vest over my neutral outfit. I mean a real men’s vest. It pulls in in the back to fit and it’s a beautiful brocade. I have one in silver the other in gold. I picked them up at the Strawberry Festival in Los Angeles County about 25 years ago. I’ve worn them a handful of times. Now that I’m going all neutral, the vests are going to pop. Thank you so much, Nada.
I need some advice on color/definition issue. I have very fair skin and my hair is just about white so I should be a definition person, right? BUT I wear eyeglasses. Should we visually challenged definition people go for color instead?😊
I dislike oversized styles that swallow me up. I also dislike ruffles, too much lace and similar ‘fuss’ on an outfit! My preference is clean and mostly classic, and somewhat undone so as to not look formal or like I tried too hard. I am all about the shoes and right accessories.
Just made my love/ hate list. Great idea. I felt badly saying that I hate something but then realized I only hate it on me. For example, I would never buy anything purple or mauve not even a blanket or a pair of socks. However, I have friends who look absolutely beautiful in that color.
Before heading to Europe for two months, I returned thousands of dollars worth of shoes. What did I end up learning? European shoes were made better for me, I ended up with Ecco shoes ( danish) and espridilles ( Spain), boots Aquaitalia ( Italian).
Absolutely. I am not talking about the foundation step because that’s going to depend on your skin. I like to cover up hyperpigmentation on my skin. I’m talking about what comes next. And for the people who don’t have to wear foundation, it can be their only step. But I’m with you. :)
