Upgraded 22” Weber Smokey Mountain (WSM) with Mods

Upgraded my 22” Weber Smokey mountain (WSM) with body latches, damper handles, door and lid gasket, lid hinge, new thermometer mounted and a digital thermometer holder. I’m not the greatest with using tools and drills much so it did get tiring drilling through metal for some of these mods that requires more than a couple holes. The easiest ones to drill were the damper handles and the thermometer holder. All others requires like 4-5 holes each but after it all was finished, I’m very pleased.
Next thing would be to add handles on each side. Garage door handles I tried buying were a bit too flat and not malleable, so I think it may be best to try other handles I can bend or see if the stock lid handle may be something I can buy 2 of and that’d be perfect.
Wheels can wait unless I find a moving metal cart that I can just screw it onto. No rush for that. Let’s see how much prettier I can make it.
