Maryam luu waalaikum as Salam no it means to cover and Abaya that shows the figure and scarf that covers your chest and shoulders and neck also your face and hands and feet is proper hijab.

I used to wear abaya with a scarf but after watching this video and coming across another video of a sheik saying that abaya sometimes can still show the figure. I went to the store and got me jilbabs and khimars. the jilbab goes from top all the way down and the khimars stops and my knees and I wear abaya under it. Alhamdulilah
Dear sister, you first need to wrap your face up with a light breathable cloth that uncovers only "one" eye (use your khimaar).. So now that your face is covered, next you must cover your head, hands and feet with Jilbab. Also I would recommend some slim gloves. Do not forget to tighten the Jilbab from the throat. Try this for a week and see if you are comfortable. As salam elaikum
Like butterfly abaya and hijab coming over the shoulders is the same. Or a regular abaya that is wide when the scarf covers the arms. Aka if the same shape occurs as the jilbab.

The awrah of a woman is her whole body except for her face and her hands up to her wrists. Sure there is a difference of opinion regarding feet but now a days we have Muslims who say hijab isn’t fard astaghfirallah.
What the Muslimah are doing wrong is 1. they do not use their Khimar (lighter cloth) to mask/cover/wrap their faces. and 2. their Jilbab (thicker cloth) which they tighten from the throat/forehead will reach up till their chest. Whereas it should touch the ground generously instead. 3. or they will simply roll the Khimar around the throat and they tighten the hair/forehead and avoid the Jilbab altogether. because Islam has set certain rules on the style of Hijab and to apply on any other style of clothing on a religious basis is as good as Bid'ah in Islam.

Can a woman wear boots which cover her feet and ankle if her jilbab is a bit short ?

So does a large loose abaya count as jilbab? It's loose and does not show the shape of the figure.
Zakirah the Niqabi - If that's true then it's fine, but a Jilbab is safer

mila kunis - They shouldn't be wearing those jeans, most jeans these days are extremely tight and show the figure.
