- In part 4 of the beautiful open world series, we will be looking at terrain, environment, a cabin in the woods and props. Part of building an open world always involves some sort of structures and crafting your terrain to be cohesive with your scene. In Unity, we can use built-in splat mapping to create a modular approach for fine-tuning our scene.

You should make an episode on cutting down the trees for making a survival game. Loving the series and you are the best at explaining stuff.

I am so happy the Unity situation somewhat turned out okay. Now we can get back to developing, at least for now
It is a relief, I'll be staying in Unity, but I don't blame the people who switched engines =\
i think we all knew they where gonna go back on what they said. but trust doesn't fall out of nowhere you earn it and they need to do a lot to earn back from what they did.
it is so peak that u do not receive the visibility that u deserve making those videos, they are great and simple to follow! In the next video, would you be able to explain to us how to change the terrain? like make it snowy or something like that; or how to interact with the terrain itself? That would be cool! keep it up man u doing so good!

Great video and tutorial. I made a build after each tutorial. I noticed that on my last build, when the distant trees pop into view, some of them immediately jump a few pixels to the left or right. This didn't happen early on, only something I did towards the tail end of the series is now causing this.
Hmm. The only two things I can think of that could cause this are either the LOD groups got messed up and are offset a bit from each other or antialiasing got changed and it’s causing some pixel shift when things are small.

What parts of scaling are you interested in? Bigger terrain? Dealing with performance issues as scale increases?
