    I have not seen anyone shoot like you since my uncle Chris. People would not believe me when I told them about it. Seeing your vids gives me fond memories of those days.
    Thank you ❣️😊

      I'm trying to figure out what you mean. What is she doing that's unique? That's just how you shoot a bow, even without training that is how you'd naturally do it. This is human anatomy controlling our form, not form controlling human anatomy.

    My form is a bit different (longbow, swing draw as per Hill), but my son shoots in the same manner as you, with a recurve (bow vertical, body square with the target). I'm definitely going to share this with him. Thank you for producing the video.

    Wel for asiatic archery, we use the thumb draw where we use the thumb draw where we pull it back to our ear, or even oppposite shoulder in the case of the manchu bow. For our legs, we slightly trianglulate our form.

    • @wingjaigaming8240
      @wingjaigaming8240 6 місяців тому

      I'm learning asiatic archery too, my instructor taught us to use the thumb draw and anchor at the cheek just below the ear. He discussed that people in the past would draw past the ear to maximize draw length and power. But this technique is harder to master because there is no anchor point on the face. Also he said when learning horse archery, one should bend the knees and squat down slightly as if riding a horse. But for target shooting or hobby purposes it's completely fine to just stand upright with legs straight. This all goes to show that there are countless different forms and techniques for archery, even "traditional archery" can mean lots of different things.

    For those who are learning, Anchor point- is a space on your face that you touch every single time. It's specific and up to you to choose where. In the beginning it's very important inorder to see consistency.

    This woman makes me regret talking myself out of buying a bow and arrow in my 20's. My niece got a toy one as a gift and I loved playing with it so much I started shopping around for a real one then was told I'd have nowhere to use it because the yard in my house was too small and there really isn't any fields where you're allowed to use one in my city aside from hunting grounds I suppose.

    Notice her draw arm elbow is lined up with the point of her arrow. Notice her release is straight back not plucked outward. Notice the string drawn between her eye and her nose with bow limbs almost vertical. Good luck !
