And just like you said, they needed the mil smu tier 1 dudes to teach them, so yeah they aren't as fascinated as the dudes who are on jsoc. A lots of members come out of cag are absolutely silence and rarely joined other organization to prove themselves, because they being proven already nor having to join FBI HRT for it. I would say the FBI HRT are at most some very good tier 2 level. Military is very different than the police, this is the same everywhere on earth.

I spent over 11 years in "the command" in two SMUs. Much of the untold, unwritten story of the command and combat operations is the story of Direct Support and Support folks filling "near combat" roles or "direct support" roles....doing things that allowed the operators to focus on operator stuff........these things that never make it in the books, never make it on the movie screen, yet not a single one of us would change a thing! = the true quiet professionals.
For clarification purposes because these dude (guys who served) dont or cant really Elaborate in detail no part in their fault because they have to keep the secrecy... Mike was in [G] Squadron at the Unit (CAG, ACE, Delta). Which is the Reconnaissance and Intel Squad of the Unit. Some of those guys are Operators (meaning the graduated OTC) some are well experienced GB/Rangers/Soldiers which the right experience and diverse background to join. G-Squadron even recruits women to join. That Squad has its own unique Selection/Pipeline and does mostly (as he said) Reconnaissance/Surveillance/Intel Gathering type of Ops. That intel gets shared with the other Squads (A,B,C,D) for The more direct action/assaults type of missions. Hope that helps. #🇺🇲⚡🦅

The story of realizing he wasn't the best, I had that happen. I was a very good - legendary, even - basketball player in my hometown. When I played at the local parks, if they saw me walking from a distance and they were picking teams, they'd pick me, and wait until I get there. I never had to wait to get onto the court. Early 2000s, I'm 22, and I try out for the, then, NBA D-League. I found out just how big the world was that day. I was better than most of the guys there - but there were about five guys there who waaaaaaay better than I was. Crazy thing is, none of those guys ever made it to the NBA. LOL!
FUN FACT: Glover and David Goggins both attended the same Delta Selection class. Only 5 out of 150 finished the course. And Glover was one of 4 out of the final 5 to be selected for OTC.

Can someone answer this I was operating in Iraq as a Marine corps element and was extending my tour and was asked if I wanted to try out for CAG but I had to sign on for 2 more years. So how is this possible when I wasn't even in the Army? We were working loosely alongside CAG and also NSW. I was amazed by CAG they were everything a tier 1 team should be. Now NSW not so much we called them Ferraris because they had Gucci gear but we're not living indigenous within the AO. We were operating day and night and prosecuting targets at a unheard of tempo.
Hoping my hunch is right .. n at least some tier 1 n 2 operators r practicing their expertise in a certain active arena to smash a present global bully/instability factor/evil POS .. whose command structure treats their subordinates horrendously ..

Not many people make it, they are not looking for just SF people they are recruiting from all US branches of military to see if they can handle the stresses of the job. Take what I say next with disbelief but it sounds wild there’s a guy who is called the sheriff of Baghdad who was in delta and he said about 5-10 people passed the course out of 200 people that took the selection course. My math isn’t that good but that’s a little below 5% or at it, you have to be qualified to be in this elite unit that works with the 3(3 letter agencies) as well as anti-terrorism units

A lot of people probably didn't catch this but CAG means Delta Force. Meaning Mike was Delta, the most elite unit in the country.

I often wonder if you took the absolute best of premier soldiers the United States could produce and took the leash off in say north korea could they asassinate the despotic leader clandestinely and get away clean.

Not many people make it, they are not looking for just SF people they are recruiting from all US branches of military to see if they can handle the stresses of the job. Take what I say next with disbelief but it sounds wild there’s a guy who is called the sheriff of Baghdad who was in delta and he said about 5-10 people passed the course out of 200 people that took the selection course. My math isn’t that good but that’s a little below 5% or at it, you have to be qualified to be in this elite unit that works with the 3(3 letter agencies) as well as anti-terrorism units
