I understand what your saying when it comes to Grsnd Design, what I don't understand is why they are in somewhat of a denial and just won't hire a bunch of welders to fix the damn things, Where I live in the panhandle of Florida students are graduating from our local Junior colleges and trade schools with tremendous certifications in the field of welding, many headed straight from graduation to the Navel shipyards in Mobile and New Orleans making $50,00 per hour. If they can work on our military equipment certainly they can weld an RV frame
That is a good point. I do not understand what why they are behaving in this manner allegedly.

Looking forward to your promise to me to do a review of Brinkley's NEW towable's. Josh did a walk through not to long ago of the 296 and teased the the possibility of a NEW 3rd towable to be released this year perhaps with the letter I. Maybe soon at the exclusive Nashville show
🔥🔥 I wonder where they get to Steel to build these frames that are cracking. Maybe Japan or maybe China inferior product that’s where I believe the frame cracks are coming from. Yes, I am an RV expert witness I’ve had lawyers hire me to help them win lawsuits against RV dealers and it’s really easy for me to do. Most of the time it takes less than one hour for me to box them into a corner to the point where they want to surrender because they are afraid of what I will dig up even more dirt. I’ve done it before I could even do it again. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

If what you say about manufactures not helping dealers with manageable levels of 2022/2023 inventory is true. Then its no wonder that many of the small mom and pop/family RV dealers are being taken over by the likes of Camping World when their profit margins are narrowing, all the while conglomerates like CW are trying to take control of the RV sales market share. Perhaps that's why they can milk customers with all the unnecessary BS addons, ie paint protection/ Good Sams Club

We considered a GD 2970RL for a few years, waiting for GD to start putting heavier suspension components in them. They never did so we purchased a 2024 Alliance 292RL, which is warranted for full-time use, and has better CCC.
I think I've decided not to buy a new rv. Used looks like the way to go.
It doesn’t matter either way. You are better off buying new because to many people want way more money for used then the are really worth. In some cases, you can buy a new one for almost the same money as the asking prices on new
Only buy one you can pay cash for. Get an inspection, new or used. Consider renting.

Just rented from Cruise America for 10 days and paid almost 2k…..I’m buying a used one this fall. It’ll be a small 24ft RV pre COVID and I’ll be negotiating with multiple dealerships. I’ll negotiate to finance to get a better OTD but then pay it off within 6 months so I’ll pay little interest. No junk fees and negotiate OTD, and yes I’ll get an RV and Vehicle inspection before I buy. I’m going full time but keeping our primary and 3 rentals cuz the interest rates are less than 3 and we get positive cash flow. Knowledge is power.

We're looking at going full time as well. My wife is a travel nurse. We want to save money by not paying a high cost in renting.
Or you can rent a cabin or actually camp and get a glamping tent....
If you buy a new RV now without a substantial down payment ie min. 30%, you are screwed if you want to trade in down the road or out right get out of it...
In normal times this would not be an issue. Because of the roller coaster since Covid..I agree
I sold ours during covid: made money but now it's a no win situation and if you finance you are upside-down.

Rent an RV, don't buy.
Renting can become just as expensive depending on how many trips you take a year. If it is only one trip a year....then I agree Rent
