Thank you for sharing this excellent video on UA-cam: 👍👌👏! I am not into anything military, but this watch looks great and does not seem to have seen much combat, which is what we all long for.
i had a 1972 Hamilton GG-W-113 for a few years. i had it serviced and authenticated. it's the only watch i regret selling. it was so cool! oh, and the crown on mine was a replacement as well.
New to your channel Thank you for the great video. I have a few of these ggw’s. Also have more of the 7jewel general purpose watches. One of which was mine while in the service in the early 80’s
Good vid. I too have a July 1969 GG-W-113, but the female stem fractured and I can't seem to find a replacement. What tap size are you using (mm)? I also have a spare crown from a parts watch, though the stem is broken off inside and needs dissolving out. If only I knew you needed one!
I'd bought a Khaki 16 years ago right before retirement from TX dot & only had to have the battery changed 3 times. Upon that 3rd time, the changer informed me that the watch was no longer operative. So in order to avoid loosing an 'old friend to the wrist'; I visited a jeweler just down the way & was told the stem had failed due to rust. He said that he could match the stem, but for the crown he had none with the H logo on it. So for a 3rd of the price I'd paid for my 'OLD friend of the wrist ' he repaired it. I'd always felt a deep but appreciative remorse for not being engaged with the Nam ''Conflict''. But it was my choice to dodge the draft. With a lottery #52 I decided to choose a Unit that was for the most part; coming back from active duty in Nam. So here's to Them & every U.S. Soldier who'd ever served... Very cool watches indeed! It’s not too late to get another one though, I see them on eBay quite often 😊
I recently did a Benrus DTU, it's cool to see the similarities between the brands in the contract. Great video!
Good work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
