Hi, I'm a medical physicist by profession. I just wanted to clarify that although a watch's movement may be resistant to the magnetic field of an MRI machine (1.5 T or 15000 Gauss), that does not mean you can wear your watch during an MRI exam. The case itself is often made of stainless steel or some alloy that is susceptible to magnetism and it is very dangerous to bring into an MRI room. There are also MRI machines with fields stronger than 1.5T (3T is common), so your watch isn't necessarily safe around all MRI machines regardless. Although Teddy has never suggested that you can wear your watch during an MRI, some may get the wrong impression.

My grandfather wore Citizen so I bought two Citizen watches when starting out- one in 2007 when I worked in Tokyo and another when starting a new job in 2014 in Chicago. My in-laws bought me a Frederique Constant as my wedding gift in 2013. I have vivid memories of walking into a store in Bombay and the FC Carree really stood out to me. It's now over 11 years since that day and we lost my MIL a few years ago but that watch reminds me of the affection my in laws have always shown me. My wife then bought me an IWC Portofino when I took a job in Switzerland. I have a small but well used collection and all my watches marked key milestones in my life. Watching this video brought back the memories. Thanks for sharing.

Proud owner of a Citizen CC3001 and GShock 56BB. It feels so good to see Citizen acknowledge while knowing this channel mostlikely isn't dealing with Citizen watches. Solar technology have advanced that indoor light can charge the watch and capacitor has very long duration along with watch power optimization. If there is something more, it will be nicer to introduce satellite wave being the fastest in the world today in getting time as not every location is able to receive radio wave from those stations. I really like Citizen in their continue persue of low maintenance, reliable and precise timekeeper which is basic of a time watch.

I bought the first iteration of the FC Slimline Monolithic model about two years ago. Within three weeks of receiving the watch, I noticed accuracy issues and problems with the crown, including difficulties in winding and setting the date. I sent it back to the manufacture for a full inspection and possible repairs. A year later, after they installed a new movement and conducted multiple failed internal inspections, FC customer service informed me they couldn’t resolve the issue. They offered to replace the watch with a different model, but it took an additional four months of follow-ups before I finally received the replacement. Long story short..excruciating experience.

Another great video from my favourite watch channel - more of the same please!
I've had 2 Citizen Eco-power watches, one dated from the early days (I purchased in 1997) and a more recent world time AT which has the atomic clock feature you mentioned. It's absolutely bomb-proof, has traveled with me through Africa, Asia and Europe, never been serviced but still performing as per day one that I owned it. It also has some useful clever features - if you press both pushers simultaneously it switches the 2 time zones - great for regular travelers.

Citizen make most functional timepieces which are functional and esthetically pleasing as well. Casio is other great Japanese brand which is champion in making functional and practical watches, but Citizen elevates it's game by designing the watches which can be worn casually and formally, with their eco drive technology. Good informative video by Teddy. And hats off to Japanese horoligst.

FC has been crushing it. Citizen is such an insane brand. I just purchased a 1967 Chrono Master and it was way ahead of its time.
