- My Toyota Corolla has a self-parking feature. In this video, we put it to the test and see if we can make it fail!
Not suitable for use on a driving test for the bay reverse or parallel park

A lot of my friends have this , but when I ask how effective it is, they usually say, don't know never tried it.. So thanks for that Richard. BTW, Don't worry too much about dry steering, (particularly when a machine is doing it) our emergency stops etc, with pupils create far more stress on components.
I'm going to get my learners to play with it, to see if it helps with their learning. I can control it using the dual brake!
You are great Richard driving instracter 🌺
I can never get it to work when parking into a bay
That is awesome scary but awesome 👍
Also good to see toyota moves forward to create a 45 degree angle for approach. Far too often I see learners struggling with 90 degrees turns unnecessarily. Another test myth sadly.
I don't really know how the technology works but I guess it needs to maximise the number of proximity sensors sensors it uses to triangulate effectively. More angle=more sensors=more accuracy?
In the same way that more angle=more mirrors=more accuracy!
@@InclusiveDriving Clever stuff.
Me too!!! This is the best feature!!! Is it available on Toyota Yaris?
I've got this car and didn't even know it had this lol looks complicated tho I'd probably find it easier doing it manually
Not all Toyotas have it, it’s more of a premium tier feature.
