What a small World we inhabit. Have followed the boat that James built since the early days of Sloe Patrol. Have a prob with my Webasto heater. Have watched numerous vlogs on the subject. Saved and watched the one on the Webasto heater a few times. Removed the heater today and have brought it home to sort. Just watched the heater one again. Then had a look to see what other vids you had. Found this one of the lass with the rusty bum. Whilst watching this video saw the North Kilworth logo. Made me think of Sloe patrol. A few minutes later you mentioned her. A small small world. Your are v helpful and enjoyable. Keep up the good works 🎉
@@DoItWithPaulie I subscribed to his channel writing notes, drawing plans of how I’d fit out my boat when the chance arose. One day I watched a project 57 vlog. James came out from under the boat, he’d been scrapping the bottom. James was covered in crap and very understandably complained of being laid on his back under his boat. I thought, I’m 10+ years older than James. It will take me ages to get my boat ready to sale. So change of plan. No scrapping etc. let’s start cruising earlier. The more I thought about it, the risk of me starting a never ending project seemed very high. So I spent a lot more up front than intended. I’m about to move on board and in a few weeks time, subject to the levels of water dropping I’m off on my travels.
you totally did the right thing. The projects cost more than a finished boat in the end.get the money spent now and enjoy it.all of the old ones out there are rotters when you start getting into them. if you self build a new shell is the only way to go,but you will still spend more and end up with less lol.good luck with your new adventures mate@@garylewis9803
Yes just like poor sloepatrol .I have just saved another one from sinking as well. It seems to be the year of the sunken boat this season. Thanks for watching Leona
Hi NH What do you think caused those grooves? I take it you have to cut the patch plate off when you put a new base plate on. great vlog love watching boat repairs.
Hi Steven. That is caused by rubbing the bottom in shallow water, over the course of many many years.I think that patch got left on and plated over,I didn’t re bottom it somebody else did it, my welder is too small lol

Well done like James all over lol
There has been more since this one.people will still buy boats with no survey 😩
Roasties very well deserved !!
You need to get your self a decent cold chisel. That + the hammer would have that bit of metal off the boat in no time flat.
hi yes have a cold chisel. i prefer to go the grinder route as its a bit gentler though. cheers for watching
Ohhhh noooo it’s like the boat that james built all over again :((((
Yes it happens more often than people think.👍👍
I’ll bet your wife has to check your pockets three times before she puts them in the wash. Lol.
She is always moaning about crap in my pockets lol. Cheers Mark
