I played Scarlatti sonatas and some Dowland on an 8 string when I was young. I just don't get 8 string electric solid body guitars, or basses with more than 4 strings. In ensemble or group play, what's the point? Abasi and Hunter would sound just as stellar slinging six strings.

I got a chance to play one of these at my local guitar store. I'm kinda in love but that volume knob gets in the way of my picking hand which is a shame

I thought the same until I stood up playing with it.. but when I first sat down with it I wasn't too happy about it. Grab a strap. Go to the store and try it again. It's an amazing instrument! Hope this helps and thanks for your view!! 🤘🤪👍

@@SIGMA-PHONIC I'm still considering picking one of these up, even if I have to delete the tone knob and move the volume one down. There really aren't any other 8 strings around this price point that come close. Maybe Schecter has a few but I'm not reallty a fan of those
