A shorter vlog this week due to the very sad news of the death of our Queen. I stopped filming when the news broke but it reminded me of the time I nearly met her. I included the clip at the end.
I have returned to greyer days and fresher winds but stayed on in Majorca for as long as I could. Thank you all for your constant support it means the world to me.

That was wonderful Jo.
Bawled my eyes out at the end.
The death of the Queen has really hit me, as you say, I do think of my mother when I see her. Even though my mum has passed, it made me cry, she’s always been there. What a woman. Lots of love from Patterson Lakes, Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺 xxxxx
Oh Jo, that had me in tears seeing The Queen get into the helicopter. What a special moment for you and caught on camera as well. Much love to you and your dear mum( her new hair do looks fabulous)
RIP to Her Majesty ❤️👑
Condolences on the loss of your great queen. I’m American and we grieve along with you.
So sad she has gone... the queen was the best.. greetings from London..
Thankyou for your Kind words x
I speak for many Canadians that we are heartbroken at the death of the Queen, she visited us more than any other country and it is a very sad day ....no matter how you felt about the Royals, you must give credit where it is due, she was a remarkable woman, who promised to spend her life in service to her country and that was exactly what she did....there will never be another woman like her in this lifetime or any other..........RIP Your Majesty, you served us well.............Respectfully Donna in Toronto
This has really made me cry, Jo. I am in Edinburgh, and the the cortege arrived this afternoon. My husband is part of the ceremonial guard at Holyrood and I watched today, the whole journey from Balmoral to Holyrood, here in Edinburgh. My own mother, who also was 96, and a huge admirer of the Queen, died 8 weeks ago, and SO much of my grief is tied up with losing my own mother - which you expressed so articulately in this video. Also, for people of our age, the Queen has been a CONSTANT in our lives. So it feels completely discombobulating that she isn't there any more. I'm so glad that she died at Balmoral, which she truly loved. I met her there, once. I think you hit exactly the right note with this video. Thank you and well done!
Deepest sympathy for your own loss Sophie, I don't think you ever stop grieving but learn to live with it. There will always be some memory, happy or sad that will trigger your emotions
@@Jules123 thank you so very much. Incredibly kind of you to reply - and particularly with these wise and true words.
Thank you for including your thoughts about the passing of the Queen on the vlog, it's very respectful. Her dignity and decency must be remembered and taught because it feels like this world has less of it every day. She wore coral.
How wonderful to still have your mum. I bet she remembers a lot from the Queen's life.
I’m American and I admired the Queen GREATLY! She was so dedicated, elegant and always seeking to improve herself. A true example to humanity. May she rest in peace and I wish all of the UK comfort and love in this trying time.
What a lovely tribute to the Queen to show that little clip of her getting g into the helicopter. A memory to treasure.
That Lilysilk dress was just stunning on you Jo.
You looked as shocked as we all are by the loss of our amazing Queen. Perfect photo of her with a beloved dog. A very fitting tribute. Thank you Jo and Phillipe x
You handled that beautifully Jo! Such an appropriate and loving tribute to Her Royal Highness, who personified the dignity of duty and love for the nation.
I'm not even British, but the Queen's passing has brought me to tears. What a life she had. What a wonderful representative of your country and to all the world. A woman to look up to and admire through our lifetime. My mother strongly resembled her and seeing so many images the last couple days of the Queen reminds me of her, she passed away near a year ago, at age 97+. To endure such long lives and many chapters in life is truly admirable. Long live King Charles III.
Like the Queen both my parents were born in 1926. Her passing marks the end of an era people my age were perhaps hoping to cling onto for just a little longer. I'm sure many thoughts were turned to late parents and other relatives of that generation this weekend.
I’m an American who loved your Queen. I’m so glad you included your reaction to her death and also the Kensington clip. I knew you were on vacation and wondered where you were when you heard and how Mutti was feeling. I saw Anna’s lovely Instagram posts about her. What an amazing woman your Queen was. That time she had the palace band play our national anthem after sept 11th meant so much to me. My condolences to you and your fellow countrymen/women. 🇬🇧💔
What a wonderful sensitive respectful vlog Jo. Thank you for sharing the clip at the end, brought tears to my eyes.
Dearest Jo...thank you so much for this clip and photo of your beloved Queen. From the east coast of the US, you've been close to my thoughts since the news of the Queen broke. I'm sure she left softly and with her boundless grace. Endless gratitude for sharing her and her lessons with the globe all these decades...💜
I cried at the end - she will be dearly missed - such an amazing woman - worked right up until the end for her country. I am so sad for everyone in the UK - I know how I feel in the US. You will treasure having that footage. I can only think she is with her beloved husband now.
I have cryed like a baby myself. I am from the USA. But loved her she was so strong and she had a beautiful smile. She will be missed .God bless her.
God bless you for giving your Mum time and love❤️🙏
I'm a U.S. fan who found you thanks to Kimberly. I love your vlog and wish to offer condolences to you and the people of the U.K. upon the death of The Queen. She was loved and respected worldwide. My mother let me miss school to watch her coronation live on TV. I was 14 and will never forget this momentous occasion. May she rest in peace.
So very sad about the Queen, what a wonderful lady she was! God bless from USA 🇺🇸
I'm from USA and my deepest sympathy to all of UK. Your Queen was a class act and Jo, your tribute was beautiful!
Oh what a special treat to see your footage of the late Queen Elizabeth. Thank you for sharing that. My mother was around the same age as the Queen and followed her fondly her whole life from here in the States. My sister and I loved her also and can’t wait to watch the Coronation on Saturday. ❤️🇬🇧❤
To hear you speak of the Queen was touching, and even your excitement on seeing her at the helicopter was lovely. I think the suddenness of it all has all of us thinking about the mothers and grandmothers in our lives. My heart hurts for her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a Canadian, she has a special place in our hearts. Perfect tribute, Jo.
Yes wonderful!. Another Aussie bawling her eyes out. The Queen was a rock steady constant in our lives. A good person, with such strength of character. We have been so lucky to have been part of this Elizabethan era. Love from South West Australia. xxx
oh Jo what a lovely tribute to our Queen xx
Here in NYC, watching with tears streaming down my cheeks. Here in the States, we are sending our truly heartfelt condolences for the loss of this remarkable woman. God bless her. God bless King Charles III.
I think Queen Victoria dog was called dash jo…thanks for a great blog again.
That last picture sums up the Queen..her beloved dog in times of relaxation…but a diligent ,loyal worker for her people.
I loved the Queen too. She was an inspiration, and I was so shocked and saddened when I heard that she had passed. I'm Canadian and will always think of her as our Queen xox
Oh what a lovely clip at the end of the queen such a sad time , what an amazing woman she was .. I can’t imagine life without her .
I’m sorry for the loss of your beautiful Queen Jo😢 The world is a better place for having her dedication to service! She will be missed by so many near and far! I’m in the U.S. and I am sad. I’ve never known life either without the Queen being in reign. May she Rest In Peace 🙏🏻
Beautiful tribute to the Queen Jo, put a lump in my throat, my Mom was born in 1926 also and we lost her around 8 years ago ..thank you for your touching words ...
So sorry for huge loss in the UK. ❤️
The Queen has been a light to the world. During lockdown her speech helped me. Rest in peace sweet lady. I live in U.S
Jo, you were one of the first people I thought of when I heard the sad news of your beloved Queen's passing. Hugs and prayers.
Me as well, I immediately thought of Mutti as well. I thought they were the same age but Jo clarified Mutti was one year older🌹
Thought I was finished with tears, but this tribute brought them back, again. More on Monday. Beautiful tribute to an incredible woman of history.
Thank you for such a sensitive vlog Jo. I was very tearful at the end and remember that time when you spotted our dear Queen. Even though we knew she was a very good age it has been such a shock. My darling Mother was born the same year as the Queen and passed away 19 years ago this week, so inevitably it has heightened my grief 💔 Such a sad time.
I was so sad to hear of the Queen’s passing. I cried and cried and watched via UA-cam everything in her 10 days pre and post her funeral. Just an amazing tribute to an incredible woman. Her passing is so destabilizing and I’m struggling to know a life without our beloved Queen.
What a beautiful tribute. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth has lived a wonderful life of service and is an inspiration. I've been in tears since hearing the news. Heidi (Houston, Tx)
What a wonderful tribute to our darling late queen xx
Sadness reaches America.....💔👑condolences to you and everyone in Great Britain. We loved her too.....take care
I'm Irish and there has often been a troubled history between our two countries but I admired the Queen for the dignified woman that she was. She was born the same year as my dad who sadly died over twenty years ago and she actually died on my birthday so I'll never forget the date of her death! She has been much diminished since the death of Prince Philip and I'm sure they are happily reunited now. May she rest in peace.
Very respectful Jo. Thank you for showing the footage you had of Her Majesty….in coral! That was a wonderful idea. You look marvelous and so rested from you vacation.❤️
Love Mutti's haircut. She looks 10 years younger. She is so funny.
That was fabulous Jo… how wonderful for you to see that. So special for you… thank you for sharing ❤️
I've been glued to the tv on CNN since the news of the passing of the Queen. Being a Canadian, she was our Queen too and I cannot tell you how upset we all are. I will say what gives me so much peace is that she is reunited with her beloved husband. She truly was an extraordinary human being and such an example to all of us of duty and loyalty. I was so thrilled to see Prince William and Harry together along with their wives. May this be the beginning of mending their relationship together. God bless the Queen and God bless King Charles III.
Hey Jo I have just listened to your Monday night radio show via BBC catch up in Australia. Your special guests telling their stories of the Queen was so interesting and the music played was beautiful and appropriate. It is now 5 1/2 days since the Queen passed away and our TV coverage is still going day and night. Like you I cannot get enough of it and am learning so much of the history of Her Majesty. I really enjoyed your radio show! 👑
Like you my first thought went to my mum when I heard of the Queens death. She was a year younger than the Queen and died aged 68. Give your Mutty a huge hug, time is precious. X
Beautiful ending to the vlog. Made me cry once again. End of an era - what a historic few years xx
Such a beautiful tribute to our beloved late Queen Elizabeth. Thank you 🇬🇧❤️
Ian with you in your sadness Jo…We are all so sad 😞😰😰 in Australia (I am in Melbourne) that Elizabeth has gone from our lives… the selfless values that she embodied & the life of duty and sacrifice she lived we all need to reflect upon and be grateful for and take as an example for ourselves in our own lives, and just hope that Charles can continue her legacy!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
Thank you Jo. That was so nice. Your queen was so special! God bless the queen. 💕
Muti has the heart of a Buddhist..she is extremely special..as you are...I don't follow the Royal family much especially the Gossip...but she lived a long healthy life with dignity...can not ask for more then that..Beautiful tribute...there is very little dignity in our world today..Prayers for the future for the world!!xo
Oh Jo! How special! I live in the USA and I admire the Queen also, I can't imagine being there. Thank you so much for this.
Oh, Jo. That was an enchanting clip to include; thank you. You’re right, I’m thinking of my auntie, my mother’s younger sister, born a few weeks after the Queen, and the last surviving member of my mother’s generation on the English side of the family. 😔
It was actually lovely to see another side to you… more reflective and introspective. Thank you
Beautifully ended Jo, so sad. It was so nice to see lovely Mutti, I do love her smile. And a lovely haircut too! I hope you are ok. Xx
This made me tear up a bit. What a grand Lady she was and will always be!! I’m American and have always adored Queen Elizabeth II. God save the Queen, long live the King. 🙏🏻❤️🇬🇧
Such a lovely vlog and tribute to The Queen. How wonderful to see her like that and so unexpected. I was lucky enough to see her at Windsor great park getting from her car into the carriage to go to royal Ascot with Prince Philip. My friend had a ticket to stand in park and invited me along. We were so close to her, she was so lovely and looked so happy. It still brings back such happy memories of which we will never forget.
SO MANY OF US LOVED THE QUEEN !! SO SAD ABOUT HER PASSING. # ENGLAND WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
I to love the Queen. Very well done beautiful xxx❤❤❤🐶🐾🐾
The video of the queen was so special. Thank you for sharing that again 💕
Jo…was so touched in the way you ended your vlog so respectfully…so very sorry to learn of the passing of Queen Elizabeth…as an American of course we don’t have anything close to royalty….so many people here I think have always had a fascination with everything Royal..she was a Grand Lady and Queen…amazing 70 years rein…probably will never be that again….your mom is amazing and you are always so entertaining!
Your footage was just delightful and so respectful! Such a classy, graceful woman and queen! Hugs from the US
I feel the same. God Bless her and may she Rest In Peace.🥰🇨🇦😘
Wonderful! Thank you! Crying! Loved the Queen!
So sorry for the loss of your beloved queen. I am in the USA ( California) but I also enjoyed the queen and many Americans enjoyed her so. This is a very sad time, especially for everyone in the UK. Sending prayers and love….🙏🏻❤️
In 2017 my daughters and I, visiting from the states, were at Kensington Palace but were not aware of the helicopter pad.
My condolences to and your countrymen on the loss of your queen. I admired Queen Elizabeth very much. 😢❤️🙏🏽
Hi Jo love your vlog. Just wanted to tell you some interesting facts about my mom and the Queen. They both were born on April 21 1926, both were married in 1947. Had their first child, boys in 1948. And died within 4 weeks of each other. My mom was always proud of the fact that she and the Queen had the same birthday. My mom wasn’t royalty but she was a special lady to her family. I love how real you are no pretension. Love ya.
The end bit bought me to tears. I miss my Queen
So sorry for the loss of our Beautiful Queen. We are Elizabethans! I like that. Your friend, Joanne Elizabeth. 🙏🏼👏💕🇨🇦
Yes you did the right thing going ahead with your vlog. The end was a very moving tribute to our dear, amazing Queen. How fortunate you were that day to see her. My own mother was the image of the Queen especially in her younger days. Sadly my mum didn't have such a long life but seeing the Queen was like seeing my mum again. This and other vloggers I follow have given us a chance to share our thoughts. Thank you Jo 💖
I’ve started watching you on the big telly , but need come on here to comment , another fantastic blog , your mum is lovely and your tribute to the queen lovely, Xx
Hi Jo, Great seeing the lovely Mutti, her hair looked fabulous. Loved the vlog as always. Such a poignant end to your vlog, so lovely seeing the Queen getting on the helicopter. Thank you as always. 🐞
I do remember that clip i am sure. We all loved our lovely queen, and its very understandable that you feel sad, R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth, and long live our King.
Thank you for that video. I wasn’t sure if you would put one on, but hoped you would. I honestly feel like I have lost a member of my family and never even met her. Thanks again though, I thought you handled it beautifully and had a bit of a cry at the end. Never stop making your videos Jo, you’re amazing!!
Aww Mutti knows exactly how she wants her hair to look beautiful and be comfortable. God Bless you both…May the Queen R.I.P she will be greatly missed…
So sweet….I love spending Sunday morning drinking coffee and catching up on your adventures. May the last grand lady, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth RIP 👑
Your tribute to the Queen brought tears to my eyes 😢 Love to you and your mum 🥰
Thank you for posting. I was hoping you would. As an ex-pat it meant a lot to hear your comments about our lovely Queen. At times like this I miss being in the UK when the whole country comes together to share in their grief 🇬🇧
What a lovely fitting way to end your blog
That was such a beautiful ending Jo.Thank you
My tears have started again🥹
Hi Jo. It was lovely to see your few extra days in Majorca staying with your good friend Frankie. The scenery there is almost identical to here in Greece and it looks as if you had a wonderful time. It was lovely to see Mutti with her very flattering haircut and she definitely knows what she wants and likes.Good for her! I think everyone has been moved by the passing of the Queen. It’s a very sad time and she is a very important part of our history - a loyal, dignified and respected lady, the whom of like we shall probably never see again. May she rest in peace.🕊🖤
Such a lovely way to end your vlog Jo. It is so hard to comprehend that the Queen has gone. She was the same age as my Mum who I lost a few years ago. They looked the same, particularly when they were young, so it feels pretty raw. Hold your Mum tight- she is such a delight. Have missed you over the last two weeks, so glad you had a great time in Majorca. Take care xxx
How wonderful Jo
Our Queen what a beautiful lady🥲
Pleased that you had a lovely holiday . Your Mum looks marvellous. Nice end to the vlog , yes think everyone devastated that the Queen has died , at least will be with Prince Phillip now. 👸
Jo , just watched the 2nd episode of only fools and horses !!!! And there was you ! You look the same ! Brilliant! X
What a lovely vlog! Thank you especially for showing that clip in the Queen, we are so sad as you say Jo we are the Elizabethan’s xxxx.
Thank you for including the blog of Kensington Palace, what a thrill & a lovely memory of our Dear Queen xxx

Please never stop doing it
That’s the last memory you had of her
How good is that
RIP Queen ❤
Mutti's hair looks great ..glad she is out of hospital ..she is looking well ..send her love from afar ..
Thank you Jo for putting into words how I, and many people, feel about the death of the Queen. I do think of the death of my own mother 18 months ago. Your blog really touched me.
Am sorry for the lost of the Great Queen, may she rest in peace...🙏
So wonderful to end the vlog this way. Love to you and Mutti.
You're a gem Jo Good...! You always deliver the perfect portrayal...heartfelt and genuine....! We're missing the Queen too, here in California.
Marvellous Queen, so sad, love from Australia, watching every moment on TV.
Mutti looks great. She reminds me so much of my mum who is sadly no longer with us . I just love seeing Mutti x
Oh Jo! What a stunning tribute to HM! We will all miss her terribly xx
