The C7 Grand Sport Heritage Edition in Admiral blue with red hashmarks and red interior is even better in person. Thanks for all the special edition videos. As a Corvette nerd I really enjoy learning new stuff about my favorite car of all time!
Done a car show a few wks. ago. Omg! Fell in L❤VE, with the CARBON 65 Grand Sport! It kept calling my name everytime I walked away lol My C5 was getting worried! 😂 I'll email ya the pics. Great job Lyle 👍 Have an awesome weekend 😃
II have a 2018 Grand Sport Heritage Edition in Admiral Blue with red calipers, black wheels, red hashmarks and red interior. New to the Corvette world and didn't realize what a special car it is.. It is as enjoyable to drive as it is to look at. New subscriber and love your channel.
The carbon 65 is a head turner. Rare collector car, only 650 made for the 65 th anniversary But they are still very expensive. They held their value well 6 years later.
Lyle, you have LEGENDARY taste! Big fan of the Heritage Edition GS (my profile pic). I search this car up all the time with the red interior. I only know of ONE in existence that is fully specked (3LT and Z07 package) a 7-speed manual, and Adrenaline Red interior. It was sold in Cleveland last August. I have the VIN saved for when I make attempts to track it down.
New subscriber here all the way from Las Vegas.. Not an owner of Corvette yet but I will be buying soon.. C6 model. Any recommend year of C6?? Thank you!!
Watch the video he has on picking AC6. Lots of good info there. The 2005 had a 4 speed automatic transmission so most people try to avoid that year if they want an automatic. I had an 07 manual and absolutely loved it. Setting the cruise at 65, I could get 42 mpg average on a road trip. I was going to look for another 07 but after what he said about the the LS3 being an even more reliable motor, I think I'm going to look for an 08 to 13. I love the car but my main priorities are reliability and economy. So those 2 things are at the top of my list. You'll be surprised at how cheap this car is to own. Most people can't get past the purchase price, but once you do you'll go 50,000 or a 100,000 miles with almost 0 maintenance except for possibly tires, brakes and oil changes. One of my best friends has an 08 C6 pace car purchased new, now it has 110,000 miles on it and he has not had any repair issues at all.
Thanks for the great content Lyle. I never have like the looks of the C7 but the info and heritage is good to know. I love my 03 anniversary edition C5. The C6 Z06 has started to grow on me though. I’m finally starting to see a few C8s here in south Louisiana and they look completely different in person than they do in pictures. I really like the look of the C8 but I’m old school and would never consider buying one until they make one with a manual tranny. Great video as always keep up the great content and thanks for all that you do for us.
Do you believe the 2019 Grand Sports a8 issues have been resolved compared to previous years? Looking at purchasing a 2019 c7 grand sport 2lt but the torque tube/torque converter a8 issues have kind of discouraged me
Tony, I don't know of this issue was sorted by 2019. I am hearing more and more about it here as the cars age and even extended warranties end, but I haven't had a car with that issue presented to me yet here at the shop. I don't think that GM has an answer that works 100% of the time yet...I get the feeling that they are doing their famous "see no evil, hear no evil" routine on this issue. My guess is that there will be a class action lawsuit against them in the near future--much like C7 Z06 owners a couple years ago who were so disappointed with the AT cars overheating on the track that they sued the company en masse. We shall see. I can tell you that the manual cars have no such issues, so if you don't mind rowing through the gears yourself, you can circumvent a host of potential problems. Lyle
There were no Indy Pace Cars made available for sale to the public, and Hertz got every one of the their "100" editions. I agree that they were made, certainly, but they were not for public consumption so I didn't include them. Lyle
Another nice video, Lyle. Though not particular a fan of the C7 , here’s my pet beef : All these “Special Editions “ and trims, from my experience with the General Mayham and its ridiculous policies of parts availability , I can only wonder about the issues arising when those cars are, lets say 10+ yrs old. Don’t anybody rag on me, I love my C6 ragtop and my previous (back when ) C3 LS6 4Spd. Keep bringing us those informative videos !
The number one is the Watkins Gray with the tension blue interior 995 made 126 only convertible if you see a convertible in the US that's very rare black wheels only came in Grand sport our three LTS Smurf interior also came with a 07 package if you wanted it
When I bought my C6I used to go on Corvette runs with 4 or 5 guys that were 6'5" and 6'6". They had no complaints. I'm sure a lot of it depends on your torso to leg length ratio. I'm only 5'7", but I'm all legs. I drive with the seat all the way back in pretty much any vehicle. 🤷♀️ Look up some local ads of Corvettes for sale and go check them out. Many of the dealerships down here have 7 and 8's on the lot, but you'd have to look at private sales to find a C6 to try.
Love your shows , l have a 2016 stingray basic 1LT, do you ever do any performance add ons to the engines or suspensions for any models that you discuss.🇨🇦😎
Love the channel. Keep the videos coming. I have 2016 zo6 3lz. I already had gm do the warranty upgrade for cooling issues because of overheating issues. But still have issues with oil temperatures rising on spirited driving. Any recommendations. You guys are the best and great information on all corvettes. I will keep watching every time I get a chance.
i really enjoyed watching your video...ive had my 18 gr.sport now since last year, with an automatic trans...jet black...im thinking of having an msd atomic airforce intake manifold put on .what do you think??
Chevrolet introduced the 2019 Corvette Drivers Series special edition Grand Sport models designed in collaboration with the Corvette Racing team. Each of the four versions has a specific exterior color and unique graphics package inspired by Corvette Racing drivers Tommy Milner, Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia. “The Corvette Drivers Series celebrates Corvette Racing’s winning legacy, which is driven by a world-class team of drivers from around the globe,” said Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet passenger car and crossover marketing. “Each driver worked with Chevrolet designers on the graphics for their respective edition, giving the cars distinctly personalized appearances."Antonio Garcia Edition: Racing Yellow exterior with “Jake” stinger stripe, red hash marks, Carbon Flash mirrors, black wheels with red stripe and red brake calipers. Jet Black interior, yellow stitching on 3LT trim
How tall do you have to be to not fit in a C7? I’m 6’4” 285lbs and I think I’m pushing the upper limit on a big fat American that can still fit in a C7.
I have a 2016 3Lt Z51 racing yellow paint black factory racing stripes yellow stitching in the interior black rims I don't know if it's special but I've never seen one that's identical too it

.I love cars too (I have a 2017 Corvette C7 with the fun manual transmission) but it ain't free and stocks are one way to make money. .....,,AMAZON: Yep, I bought a ton on the dip. It's getting cheaper relative to its current earnings (half compared to last year). ...With the Delta virus coming at full speed ahead, pandemic sales will make a comeback. Amazon's not going anywhere so I know that eventually it will come back. Fidelity considers Amazon as a large growth company (probably because as big as it is, it still only has 7% of the retail market) buying via Amazon Smile donations donates some money to my favorite charity too! Blame the randomizing software that picked them--we intentionally ran that program to avoid any preferential treatment to anyone. I know you are saying this tongue-in-cheek, but we actually discussed this exact situation before offering the hats and figured a nameless, inhuman program would do an unbiased job... :) Lyle

What generation of corvette has the most room. I’m 6’3. I love corvettes but always thought I wouldn’t fit well enough to justify owning one.

Love these video's. Pse keep going!
Wonder if that one-off manual on that 2014 convertible was a production mistake spun into urban legend
My guess is that someone at GM executive level had it specially made. Lyle
