Such a sick paint job too. I just got a Tekno ET48 and watched your vids on it.. as well as everyone elses before i did.. sooo good on the track which i bought it for as have kraton to bash. it's soo good and I am pretty happy with my multi coulor paintjob but it can nob compare to that

The blac one was a Sakura D5 got from specialist drift shop, unfortunately dont know any drift cars at that price rang you can run on carpeted drift tracks, if you want a general budget car that you can drift on tarmac etc then something like the SG1603 - if you do a UA-cam search for it you will find loads of videos

@@NorahCIIV OK, for £100 budget i would say you best bet would be to try to source a second hand MST RMX 2.0 RTR or Sakura D5. Other option would be to save until you can afford something like a MST RMX 2.0 rtr, i would suggest buying an inferior drift car like a Banzi as its just not the same. One other option would be to see if there is a local drift track club that you could visit and have a go, our local track as featured in this video allow you to rent a car
@@NorahCIIV Pretty much any of the 1/10th scale bodies would fit from the likes of Pandora etc. We have a Sakuras D5 as well and we just took the body from that and put it on the RMX 2.5RS until we got this new body

Thanks for watching, can drift on other surfaces, may need different tires though as the tires we have are really for carpet, but MST do lots of different tires for different surfaces. oi wouldn't suggest using on rough tarmac though as that will eat the tires up, smooth concrete etc is good
If its not to rude to ask, can you tell me roughly what you paid for the paint job? Ive got a BMW shell going spare and im considering having something like this painted :)
Price will depend on the complexity of what needs to be done, this one was quite a lot of work due to the different colors and also hand painting parts of it - cost was £80 and that also included cutting it all out, including the light buckets
@@HardcoreRC it really is! My South African mates got me into it in 2007. They put PVC sleeves on the wheels and made them drift and I was instantly hooked! I’ll never forget it!!

Thanks for the lovely comments, always respond to comments, will be a bitter sweet day if we get so big that i just cant respond to them all. These were adjustable offset wheels think it gave the option of 1mm, 3mm, 5mm and 7mm - pretty sure were set them to 5mm, just played around trying the different offsets till it looked good

They are a lot of fun, takes some learning to get the drifting go, but as you say not much in the way of breakage repairs, the cost comes from carbon upgrades, esc. motors and all the bling you can add, drifting and building scale etc is what its about on this RC genre

It is a good track and they change the layout around every 6 months to keep it fresh
3mm space to give you more toe! Camber is wheel angle toe is if they are pigeon toed or duck footed.
Adding the 3mm spacers add camber and toe, Toe had to be dialed right back in with the tie rods

Hows the Carpet make for a drift surface? does the carpet fibers get in the RC parts?
Carpet is very good, its different to a hard surface as adds a bit of friction, no fibres get in the RC parts

It is the Drift Track in Sittingbourne yes, Kent RC Warehouse, not that new but they do change the layout around every 6 weeks

Would depend on why made the car, there are not set in place sizes for cars, one brands 1/14 scale with be other brands 1/12th scale etc

Thanks for the lovely comments, always respond to comments, will be a bitter sweet day if we get so big that i just cant respond to them all. These were adjustable offset wheels think it gave the option of 1mm, 3mm, 5mm and 7mm - pretty sure were set them to 5mm, just played around trying the different offsets till it looked good

I'd love to get a drift car. I'm tired of constantly having to fix the 4wd bashers. I can't see much breaking when all 4 wheels are on the ground
They are a lot of fun, takes some learning to get the drifting go, but as you say not much in the way of breakage repairs, the cost comes from carbon upgrades, esc. motors and all the bling you can add, drifting and building scale etc is what its about on this RC genre
