- Kris Keefer and Matthew Sirevaag from Keefer Inc. Testing hit the trails at Cahuilla Creek MX Park on Tuesday to test out the 2021 Kawasaki KX250X and KX450X off-road models.
For riders looking for a little more to their machine than the standard KX250 and KX450 models, the cross-country bikes are designed with the trail rider, desert racer, and woods rider in mind. With all the component updates on the newer race models transferred to the off-road lineup, Kawasaki offers subtle changes to increase comfort level in all types of environments.

Seems like a slight miss that Kawasaki didn’t put at least a slightly larger fuel tank on these off road bikes like Honda and Yamaha did.

Both great bikes 👍, i have a 2018 Kawy Concours 1400, i know its not a dirt bike but its still kawasaki, has a huge potato shooter for a muffler, thing weighs 20 lbs. , i put a Dekevic slipon on it, that weighs like 12 lbs lighter, ended up putting stock back on because like you said, the power band is just better..
Can we get a endurocross test on these bikes

Yes standard tank but IMS has a 2.9 gal version for $375.00

Wonder if you can get more than 30 hrs out of the motor on the 450 before you start needing a piston or head gasket lol
I have a 2019 kx450 and I have 69.7 hours on it right now all original except oil changes and filters! Runs great
They definitely have a build quality issues.
@@johns5181 I have 15' KX 250 at 90 hours still stock but can't go more than 15 hours without valve adjustment though. Is that normal ?
@@greglesny2663 I’m not a professional mechanic but I think on a 250 with that many hours it is probably normal. A lot of it depends on how aggressive you ride it! If you are over revving a lot and in the upper rpms I’d said it’s normal to adjust them that often! May also be time for a new piston and rings because it’s smaller higher revving motor!
Ktm is so far above everyone in this category it’s frustrating
