- Kris Keefer saddles up on the 2021 Kawasaki KX450 at State Fair MX Park in Perris, California. The new KX450 has a redesigned clutch for smoother power delivery on corner exits as well as coming stock with Renthal Fatbar 839's to offer more flex under load and chatter.
Keefer discusses his takeaways from riding the new machine and what to expect in feel between the 2020 and 2021 models.

I really love how honest this review is
Kris has a great review style! I like how he describes abnormalities and comparisons. It's not so run of the mill stuff you seem to get on most reviews. His speech is clear and he doesn't put you to sleep like some of the other mags/sites.
Love listening to you Keefer. Someone who actually objectively knows how stuff works and can feel changes. You’re a rare find. I try and explain stuff like suspension and ergonomic changes for different handling characteristics to people all the time and it’s like deer in headlights. Most people just throw money at stuff and the placebo makes everything better 🤦♂️

I love my 20.... still owe $3k and I wouldn’t change a thing . Best purchase ever . I don’t see myself getting a new bike anything soon maybe 10 years lol
Ya I wouldn’t either, bikes aren’t changing much for anyone say its worth a change.
I love my 20 too man. Best stock 450 I’ve ever ridden and I’ve rode a bunch in my life. I got really good deal in late June on one.

Hey can you put that clutch in a 2019? I’m sure you can but I’d like to ask somebody who can find out. I don’t think the clutch changed any from 19-20 so I’m sure if it’ll go into a 20 then it will.
