@@Fraudkovicyou’re missing the point that del po had to face the big three in their primes and could still compete. Prime Djokovic is a whole other level compared to Djokovic now, that 2011 season with the 5 masters and 40 something match winning streak with some of the greatest competition in the history of the sport. The physical has definitely taken a toll on Novak without a doubt. Not discrediting alcaraz by any means a great player who has done what no one has in recent times. And the bathroom break thing? So it’s all of a sudden unethical to recoup yourself after losing a set and focus up if the momentum is going downhill. Also Djokovic just beat alcaraz 6-3 6-2. The only thing we could create is some useful brain cells for you. How long a player can dominate like Federer did, 5 straight US Slams is not enough for you??
Federer was already falling apart in 2007. It was subtile and he is so good that it needed couple years to be clear. But overall you're right, he won only 2 slams after that season until his miraculous comeback.
@@魚-c3dno it helped against Rafa with the backhand but not djokovic. Notice after he switched after 2012 he lost his big forehand which djokovic had trouble with.
Delpo doesn't need to be as consistent as the other players, his raw power of his serve and forehand would be enough to beat any of the top three players. They would fear seeing him or Sampras for the exact same reason on their side of the draw.
I don't think people realize how big a loss this was for Federer context wise. A win would have resulted in 6 straight USO titles and more importantly Roger would have held all 4 majors at once assuming he won the 2010 AO. (09 FO, 09 WM, 09 USO, 10 AO etc...)

Fed fan but this is my favorite match of all time. Just love watching these two go at it. Sad that Delpo’s career was plagued with injuries.
This Delpo would crush the current Alcaraz
crush? probably not, definitely could win

The best final US Open in century 21.
Te amo Delpo!! sos un maestro del tenis!
Beautiful.
Del Potro and Federer are two great players in history. Nice mutch.
This match was the beginning of the end of the Federer era creating doubts in his mind, ex. racket change etc. and the invincibility was gone!!..

The racket change was an act of wisdom, not "doubts in his mind". In fact he should've changed rackets long before.

How fed lost to a one hit wonder, then loses to djokovic with a lead as well is torture. Hes the best ive seen, but i cannot say that anymore

Indeed not like against nadal that even when he won in straight he didn’t make as many winners as against feferer
How did federer lose this one ?
