I shoot dancers in very low light. Is it possible to keep the video light on and get a flash when take a still photo? (so that it helps with autofocus and quicken the camera's speed in this scenario). Thank you.

However the TTL mode is not working. When im in Aperture priority mode, ISO and Shutter speed are not changing which produces underexposed images. Any thoughts?
I’m afraid not, I don’t use third party on camera flashes as I’ve always found them a bit of a nightmare. I don’t know if that is your issue but I’m guessing compatibility might play a role in it.

The SB500 is the only one you can use the in camera menu system to control the flash from, higher end and professional flashes have this functionality built into the flash itself and it works perfectly with the Z50, Z6, Z7 and Z5. There's a difference in that the SB700, SB800, SB900 and SB910 have master modes built in meaning you don't need to use the in camera menu system.
my fav flash Have it in my pocket during concerts so i can use it if artist goes in to public. Very good light/flash

No dice I’m afraid, the Z cameras use green LEDs rather than red - so the ones from the flashes are no good

The SB500 is the only flash you can use on Z6/7 (Z5/50?? don't know!) to control the SB 600-700-800-900-910 flashes.
