Deadly 90FT Waterfall Ascent Deep Inside Crystal Filled Cave

  • We went well over a mile into this cave to search for the 90ft waterfall to climb up. The crystals we passed along the way made the tough journey so worth it. We spent about 9 hours in the cave on this trip.

I just stumbled across this channel for the first time tonight. As someone who is primarily sedentary with pretty insidious depression, I am inspired and amazed seeing people have the natural energy and stamina to do things like this. It’s a blessing to be able to achieve this. Thank you for letting me explore vicariously through you.

      Motion = Rhythm + Momentum + Inertia.
Get a good rhythm going, no matter how small.
Over time, rhythm gains momentum - and it takes less energy to maintain/increase motion then to start it from a dead stop.
Over more time, momentum turns into inertia - where it takes more energy to stop/decrease motion then to maintain it.

I hope you find that reason to try again dude. I've hit a real bad point and i can no longer think of anything that i want enough to strive for. Your brain chemistry is completely effed up when you have depression. I've been diagnosed with chronic depression and it truly embarrasses me to tell people. But what people don't understand is that everything you think and feel is governed by those chemicals. Thats why depression is such a big deal.
The first thing to do to combat depression is to move your body, your brain will reward you with some of those feel good chemicals, and they'll help you to start thinking more positively. That's how you make a start to.
I think I'm at the point where I'm kinda ok with it all to wind down and end now though.
Don't let yourself get to where i am friendo.
      Good luck 🤞

@@chisenplayz2 I really hope so too.
so many goals I have, I don't want it to end like this 😓
Epilepsy is a rough thing to live with.
Just rode an ebike a couple thousand miles with 3 dogs in a 5'x3' trailer I built because the previous roommate poisoned my 3 dogs and one almost died through emergency surgery. So I got on my ebike and left T or C NM for Maine.
Lost everything and almost died on the trip, just to get to a home that slaves me and bullies me everyday. (I was promised it was a safe place, and trusted the family member)
If I leave, I'll die in the cold, I have no tent or gear, if I stay, I'm gonna prolly die from SUDEP from the nonstop stress.
I have hope in a few months of going to Cali, for living on a mining claim.
But I don't know if I'll make it that long with all the negative energies on a daily here, sudep is real scary with epilepsy.

    Dude be careful.
That fall, and then the tongue in cheek “I’m grabbing it” when they warned you not to, even if you were only touching it lightly reminds me of how I’ve watched chandler free handle venomous snakes and get more and more comfortable, and eventually complacent, and what happened recently? He got bit. Lost a finger. It could have been much worse. Or Alex who no longer free solos because he ended up falling. It could have been much worse.
I love these videos. Just please be careful. There’s no stopping the gradual slide into complacency. It happens to everyone in every aspect of life as they achieve a certain level of expertise. It’s important to be able to objectively judge yourself and know when it’s time to cash out.
A good example was Khabib. 29-0-0 MMA record. One of the goats. And his whole career he said he was going for 30-0-0. But he stopped at 29, and that level of discipline is rare. He probably could have won one more fight. But he was wise enough to step out before he left his prime.
This is a rant. I’m sorry.
Just be careful man. I’m so jealous of what you’ve seen, and even better, what you’ve recorded, the souvenirs I’m sure you have, etc.
Make sure you live to pass on those memories. Be safe.

Those curved crystals with that stripes on it are from gypsum, that´s shure, like at 14:01. The rest is aragonite with some minerals giving the colour in most cases.
But sometimes I´m not shure if I see calcite-crystals. Is that possible? Did I see right? (For example the "white" between the "brown" at 6:41).
I love your videos, especially those with good formations and crystals, like this one.
And I have a wish to you: If you ever want to show us some details of crystals or whatever, please make shure that your camera is really still standing for one or two seconds.
In a video we watchers are not enshured to see the whoile picture and everything visually sharpened, like you do.
Never the less big thanks for your great movies. It´s always amazing to watch them.

If you go exploring in a cave and appreciate the beauty of the cave, especially the mineral and crystal formations, do not touch them with your bare hands. I visited Crystal Cave in Wisconsin and there was a section of the cave that was really popular with tourists. The tourists would leave coins on the walls (I think it was a soft formation of some mineral) and people would touch it. The corrosion from the coins and oils from people’s fingers caused the walls to turn black in most spots. They prohibit tourists from touching the walls since then. They try to preserve the wall’s natural beauty as much as possible but it probably will never recover.

There's one in Mexico with crystals as big as mature trees. It's closed now (reflooded) but you can find some awesome videos about it. It's down so far in the Earth at like 800' that the temp is like 130°+.

What gets me is I am assuming these guys are in their early to late 20s and appreciate, respect, and know what they are looking at.. Then there's a whole other segment of the population in the same age range that wants to steal, loot, and burn.. Feels good to see there are still young people that appreciate this beautiful rock that we ALL live on. .
