Very good landing video Will. Landing taildraggers is an art. Takes a lot of practice to get good at it...well worth the time. Enjoyed this! BTW, nice to see you've mastered the Spitfire...that is a plane that can humble anyone. Earl with the RV greaser!
Good discussion & video. It seems there is kind of an 'art' to getting purdy taildragger landings. And for me - a big difference between calm and windy days.
@@SteffenRC Really enjoyed your landing practice. I have once in awhile had a bit of wind that was still yet smooth out of a steady direction - and that was fun to practice landings in. Can I ask about your 1.6m Spitfire? I am curious if the stock configuration had the wheels having a bit of toe in - or were they more straight. I was wondering after you mentioned a friend's Me 109 that had the wheels re-aligned a bit to yield better ground handling. I have the little Durafly 1.1 Spitfire. It is beautiful - but the wheels have more toe in than I want. I don't know if I can do much about it because it looked like they needed to stay as they were in order to fit up into the wing when retracted. Thanks - Roger.
Sorry for the late reply... My spitfire wheels were straight. My buddy toed out his Eflite FW190. He toed them out a lot.. Helped quite a bit, but I think its going to be hard on the retracts...
Nice vid mate enjoyed it 🤙🤙🤙
Thanks.. Appreciate it.
I love your “how to” videos! I really learn a lot being a newer pilot (4 years). Thanks and keep these videos coming!
Thanks. Appreciate the comments.
Another great instructional video Will. Perfect timing for me- I plan on advancing to tailwheel planes this fall.
Nice. Appreciate the comments.

Yep.. For sure... I kinda like windy days when I can kinda "elevator" my plane for a soft landing... Thats a rare occasion..
