Catching Tuna , Mahi, and Swordfish in Islamorada, Florida Keys! Fish Cutting at Bud n' Mary's

- It's a birthday fishing trip aboard the "Broad Minded"! We leave Bud n' Mary's Marina at sunrise and the first stop is the bait patch. After catching some cigar minnows we head to the "hump" and start fishing for tuna. The day before this was an epic tuna bite but this day proved different. We hooked a handful and landed 3 nice blackfin tuna before they shut off. After that we started running offshore to the swordfish ledge but on the way found a piece of bamboo with a few "schoolie" mahi on it. A little while later we made it to the swordfish grounds and after a couple hours we had a keeper in the boat! Back at the dock we fillet the fish and feed some of the marina pets.

I spent a couple of days down there last week. Stay on the houseboats, you won't regret it. So much action just to watch around the marina at night. My guides were excellent as well. Two great days of fishing and two great evenings of food, relaxation, and the best sleep I have had in years.

It's funny what I learned watching your channel Nick. I see that piece of bamboo floating and immediately I say mahi-mahi!
Love the addition of the 2nd shooter and cinematic edit! I might suggest toying with your frame rates to make it more consistent, though. Slo-mo is super smooth but live action is a little tough on the eyes. All in all, really nice though!
We are still ironing out the finite details. This might have been uploaded with a higher frame rate. We will make sure that doesn't happen again :)

I have loved every single video you have made and I personally don't think you need the music. I know everyone is trying to make their videos different but you don't have to because they are always so fun and exciting to watch. They both have drove it some , James is more focused on the offshore side. Bean will most likely get a backcountry boat one day and focus on the inshore stuff

The buoy is just to get a second sword line out further away from the boat

Hey Mark, that was my choice of music lol. Music is difficult as it's such a personal thing. I think moving forward I definitely won't have music throughout. It was windy and I was trying to cover up some of the wind noise. Anyway, tell us what kind of music you want to hear and I will make sure to include some on the next one :)
