On the highway how easy does it keep up with traffic? When trying to overtake a car from stop to go how does it feel? Like if youre at a red does it stay it have to go into higher gears in order to pass?
Yamaha did a fantastic job on the 25’ model and for the price point it’s crazy. I bought a 24’ Ninja 500 brand new didn’t even give it a chance to break in lol. Still running strong 15,000 miles later. These small displacements bikes love to live in the high rpm’s.
I've had my r3 for something near a year and man they're a fun commutor! I've just put some pirelli angel citys on and they complement the nimble handling of the bike sooooo much! Waaaay better than stock tyres, more responsive tip in (and it takes far less effort to get the bike to lean). I've also gutted a cheap ebay slip on and the sound is heaven! Burbles and pops for daaaaays 😂
Yes, Walt had a Navi before getting the r3. This is THE bike to start using clutch on, he got it within the same day. It’s soooo easy to use and very forgiving. I’d recommend it for sure
Great question. Brakes felt good. Didn’t really push it on my ride though. It’s broken in now and I should get another shot to try it out soon so I’ll update on that
Ninja 500 is a bit heavier and more of a sport touring bike. R3 is a light weight entry level “supersport”. Depends on what you want in a bike imo Better comparison would be the ninja 400 and the r3 imo. That one would be more up to preference (style, comfort, etc)
This bike is so overpriced for a 300cc. Costs like $6000 here where I live. For that price I could get Aprilia RS 457 and still have 1000 bucks left over.
