- Today we are quilting the Valentine Quilt! I chose an allover quilting design for this because of the busy fabric and ease of quilting. I stitched this free motion quilting design freehand on a longarm but it would be just as easy to do on a domestic machine.

Wanting to know if you have a work sheet on the hearts and swirls I am just learning how to free motion quilt and want know how your putting them together because I can not quite see them on your tutorial I like to draw out the patterns I want to try before I tack them to the longarm
I’m currently working on my swirls. Having trouble getting the roundness to be round. Ideas?
What is the purpose of the tape measure laid out on the quilt?
She doesn't say but I figure it must be as far down as she can quilt. It's a very good idea, I can't tell you how many times I've run right up to the point where the machine won't go any farther and I'm in the middle of a loop or swirl.
