Hi jtshi, thank you for the comment 😀 No, just cut and fry. The ngaku chips are very flavourful on its own. I would recommend any unscented vegetable cooking oil. Hope it helps 😀
Hi Rivet Gardener, Thank you for alerting me. I have counter checked from my side and a few friends, the sound is alright throughout the video. I am not sure what happened 😞. Thank you.
Hi Amy Tan, yes, it's irresistible indeed. Once you start can't stop eating. Thank you for sharing. 68+ is still young indeed 😍😘. Life begins at 60 and enjoys the moment. Cheers!
Seen this fruit always at CNY time but didn't know it's called arrowhead. Thought it was some kind of giant chestnut 🤣. I'm a novice home cook and very nervous around hot oil plus my hand eye coordination isn't as good and quick like you. Guess I should slice them all first then fry in batches or risk ending up with burnt chips or other kitchen disasters 😂.
Hi Pretty Catmint. Yes, this is something to look forward to during CNY. One person frying Ngaku is difficult to manage. Sometimes I ask my daughter to help me out. Two persons is just nice with one doing the slicing and one frying. Thanks for the comment.
Need to soak in salt water first? What type of oil is good to fry it?
