This what you’ve been saving those for Andy you just didn’t realize that til now. Hood ( bonnet) looks amazing, hopefully the roof will come out just as nice.👍👍🇨🇦
@@vwcoco Do they make a bigger wheel ? If so it would have a faster ground speed with that drill and probably be even quicker . And it would be even easer to lay flat ! Looking good
Wow try and error and worked a treat, less dust and easier to remove 2 layers of paint and body filler and primer 👍
Cheers VW, happy days, those sanding wheels are the trick. Good job. When in doubt get the sanding wheels out.
Yeah perfect first time I’ve used them and had them for a few years 😂

Metal looking good under that paint, thankfully
Yeah it’s perfect 👍
now the work goes faster. The car is looking better
Cheers Jim
Smooth as a babies bottom. Right that is a blessing.
Lol it is
Dust Control It can be done but would need an investment in a fan setup blowing against a water filter . Water catches dust well
I tried a bit more in home garage yeah need fan set up but I did wet the floor so dust went in it cheers Joe 👍
Thats the same idea as the contour sander. 75mm diameter by 100mm wide. Knocks it down quick. I will be using mine next week to strip paint.
Yeah Frank it’s perfect . Good luck
Brilliant 👍
Cheers Al
Looks like it works good Andy , But it still looks like it going to be alot of work , It sure does clean up nice !
1/2 the time Paul but works a treat 👍

@@paulmatott8331 not sure Paul ,I’ll look into it on Amazon as got a few vws that needs paint stripping
Rubber sanding pad that fits in a drill use cloth sandpaper cut your own discs attach to the sanding pad
Ideal I’ll try that on roof
Put plastic down, and use aviation or furniture paint stripper. Cover in plastic ,then you roll up the plasic, no dust, and it removes bondo.
Ill shoot and post a video doing the back of the 51, once it dries its easy t o dispose of
👍
Nice
Andy have you ever tried a belt sander on a full paint strip I helped mate going back a few year and it soon sorted out the filler and primer
No I’ll try that cheers
