Very nice video. Love to see the clean and cook from those fish lol.
I’m about to upload one
@@SlotCityFishing Awesome! I'm going to Panama CIty Beach in a few months and would love to catch a few.
Did you see my video from yesterday I made a catch and cook pompano
@@SlotCityFishing Nope but I'll watch it right now. Thanks!
I see now that for a days fishing I should not "expect" to catch limits on fish...You are an expert compared to me and you don't have limit days all the time either....3 keepers is a good day and I guess I''m not doing as much wrong as I thought i was.
It used to frustrate me that I would see videos of guys catching "limits". I now see that is the exception rather than the rule.
Limits are rare man. I’ve done it once.
Nice job Jessie. I definitely learn something every time I watch one of your videos. Tight lines
Thanks Patrick glad to hear that!!!
Really enjoying your videos, learning a ton! thanks for explaining “Bleeding out” your fish.
I like your emphasis on catching good eating fish and being thoughtful regarding conservation of the resource. Keep up the good work! Thanks,
Thanks brother glad you’re enjoying the vids!
Love those multiple species days.
Nicely done!
Thanks Brian!!!! Looking forward to your show Friday.
Yeah, I used to use the Abu 6500's in the surf in Texas and I could cast those reels with a 5 oz weight the furthest with ease, especially pomp fishing.
Yea man I’m really enjoy it. I’m apprehensive of the abus unless they are magged I need the training wheels still. I use to be stationed in Corpus Christi and fished padre island all the time magic place. Thanks for the tips and for watching the vids!!!
@@SlotCityFishing I'm from Port Aransas and fished PINS all the time. I never magged out the abu 6500's. All I did was tighten the spool knob until the weight would no longer fall to my feet when I disengaged the spool to cast. Then I would tighten the spool knob just a little bit more. I never got a backlash doing that while making 100 yard cast with fishbites to catch pomps or reds. Very easy to do, practice makes perfect. Can always start by making a 40 yard cast, then 80 yard cast until you realize the right tension you need on the spool to cast 100 yards without a backlash. Give it a try.
That’s solid advice. There’s a lot of videos on the channel from me fishing corpus. If you go back to my first uploads I started the channel in corpus. The fishing is great out there. I have one video of me catching a king off port A jetty. Good times.
Awesome day! Good info, quick and to the point!
Thanks manny really appreciate you watching hope it helped or you learned something!
Great video man! Love multi species days. Welcome to the area! See you on the beach
Thanks dude if you ever run into me say what’s up! Would love to fish with you.
Could you do a video on how you read the beach for good fishing spots?
I absolutely can do that for you bro!!!
Thanks, Great tips, went to Wilmington NC and caught a 5 pound black drum last year, it was great eating! Pompano rig, and frozen shrimp!

Nice! Great fishing day Jessie. Not a lot but good job finding them.
I use the bait casting reels too. I have the same reel as yours on the Florida surf 13. Love it. I also have two Abu 6500 ct reels on 12’ and 13’ rods.
I’ve really been enjoying them and just got accepted to be the panhandle team member for over the bar rods. So my cart is loaded with them now. Thanks for watching!!!
@@SlotCityFishing Congratulations brother!

Not sure what that means but thanks
Can you talk about the best tides to fish?
Sure where are you located?
Are you using same size hook on each setup? Great video
Yep always the same. Some people say they will go smaller if the bite it tough but I don’t believe that. 2/0 circle L197 eagle claw
Great video. What make is your sand cart?
Thanks bro it’s custom made by surf fishing solutions
Do you fish the sound, I'd like to see you fish it ,I'm going to Navarre June 23rd to visit family and plan on fishing for a couple days. Any tips you have would be great. I live in Arkansas.
Yea I do go to my channel and look at that black drum video that’s Pensacola bay on the navy base. Another really great spot is the causeway goin down 87 to Navarre crossing the bridge right before the beach.
There’s monster fish in the sound
Jessie how far did you move? I keep hearing to look for clean water. What exactly does that mean and do you practice that?
Clean water is the emerald clean water we like to see down here. When it’s brown and stirred up you will more than likely only catch trash fish. If you catch a hardhead catfish or nothing and the water is brown that’s dirty water. You need to move until you find the water is more green.
Have you tried the Ike Jime method for killing your fish just saw some video but never tried it
Maybe another video idea
@@chadsouders6457 I have heard of this man and I do wanna try it
I heard about it from Doug Stange of In-fisherman on a podcast he was on
